Oh, he knows it’s satire. He just thinks it’s bad satire because not all the sins are jokes, so “clearly people will think they’re being 100% serious and not watch the movie, which is CinemaSins fault” or something. He says the videos should either be all joke sins and should state quite clearly that it’s all a big joke, or only focus on serious problems with the films and make no jokes at all while also making it super obvious that they are serious.

If people make memes out of your art, you should thank your lucky stars that people give that much of a shit about you to even meme it in the first place.
Hell, there are webcomic artists who have seen porn made of their characters, something that should be 'demeaning', but they actually welcome it because, to quote Tycho from Penny Arcade:
"....at least it shows you care enough about the characters to want to see them fuck."
If said memes mock your work or your shitty work ethic, and it becomes viral, then that is reflective of the consensus that you're doing a terrible job or are just that much of an unpleasant asshat that really needs a good look in a mirror.

Thank god us troglodytes have the few enlightened torchbearers, such as Dobby, who are smart enough to not only discern satire from facts but also see through CS' terribly dangerous shtick and tell us others what to think and those pesky CS-dudebros what to do.
I mean, Dobson is just such an expert on how to monetize humoristic content. After all, he's making a cool 50 bucks a month, so it makes perfect sense that he should tell CS what to do with their channel that rakes in roughly 3000 dollars a day.
So yeah, ever wanted a perfect example of what actual mansplaining is?
A company with a net worth of over a million dollars a year being lectured on how to improve their content by a guy whose networth is about equal to a soggy BigMac someone left under a kitchensink.

I'm so glad someone like Dobson has enough influence on me, the average dumb viewer to tell me that the type of humor I enjoy is wrong and I should feel wrong for liking it. Breaking the mind control of CinemaSins and these other problematic content creators have over my weak POC mind. What would I do without my fat, balding, 36 year old savior?

I get the feeling Dobson was one of those students who barely made any effort in any class and the teachers just graduated him just so they couldn't deal with him anymore. That would partially explain why he has little to no understanding as to how everything works.
Like satire, some people don't need to have the joke told to them like a baby Dobson. It's obvious because the channel nitpicks every little thing most people wouldn't, and that's what makes it funny- They're making fun of those incessant nitpickers. And considering the fallout with the director of the new Kong movie some time back (another thing Dobson doesn't get- that he complains about shit way too late for anyone), it's clear there's a larger problem at play here. And that Dobson's gotten the worst of it.

This man spends his entire day staring at a screen and arguing with people he doesn't know from across the world about entertainment for children and comedic criticisms of art, and he wonders why he is depressed. Will he ever turn off the computer for a month and do something with his rapidly fading life? Not likely, I don't think he's even aware that this could somehow be contributing to his mood

In the end, what will Dobby gain?
Cinemasins is still going to produce videos and make money. Everyones gonna move on to the next big thing. All the people who Dobby argued with are going to forget about the agrument they had with dobby and continue on with their lives. Maybe even become succesful artists.
And where is Dobby going to be?
Still in his room, alone, whinning about shit thats no longer relevant, while continuing to add people to his blacklist and agruing on twitter.
And he wonders why he is a prime example of what an artist should not be.

It takes a special kind of :autism: to think that CinemaSins in any way going to deter anyone from seeing a movie because its content can be interpreted as a legitimate bad review.

i'm sure there are a few :autism: very :autism: special :autism: people :autism: that take CS's word as alpha and omega in movie critique. but these people are so stupid, they aren't worth really caring about.
frankly i think dobson just projects this idea of "I look, i see, i don't buy" because he knows deep down that's what he does.
