Man, Dobson is so infuriating. When he can't win an argument, he runs to twitter and completely misrepresents the other guy's arguments, pretty much making up a strawman... it's like his twitter is an even lazier version of SYAC.
Which is probably one of the big reasons he doesn't do SYAC anymore. Dobson like some other cartoonists is clearly motivated almost purely by spite, anger, and arrogance... except that unlike other cartoonists, when he feels these things his first inclination isn't to draw, because he actually really fucking hates drawing. His first inclination is to hit twitter, where he constantly vents all his hateful little feelings, and there's no impetus for him to make art with them. It's clear that every so often he can be pushed into drawing for one reason or another, but he obviously gets his fix just from tweeting.
Why go out and pick up a girl (draw) when you can just stay home and masturbate (tweet)?

I think it's more likely he saw how it made actually talented kids in school popular. Other kids would draw and have their peers say "Wow that's awesome". Probably even some early attention from girls. Dobson wanted the acclaim he saw them getting, and thought if he just started drawing he'd get that too. Of course he was too lazy (and too meanspirited/creepy) to make anything of it, so he just became convinced that the world didn't know what it wanted (IE it's supposed to want him).
And to think that to this day he has no idea what strawmanning actually means. Or satire. Or sarcasm. Or subtlety. Or hygiene...

So I let that Matt guy know that Dobson copied a small part of his response and posted it out of context on Twitter to mock him. Dobson promptly deleted my warning, blocked me from commenting completely, and then acted even more like an ass to Matt.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why absolutely noone gives a shit about -let alone likes- Andrew Dobson.
It's times like these where for a fraction of a second, I can feel the A-Log rise in me, but then I realize how insanely gratifying and cathartic it is to watch this losers live circle the drain and calm down.
He's forever going to be a petty, arrogant, condescending manchild - and he's forever going to be miserable due to this.

With Dobson's response, it's worth pointing out that his idea of a subtle joke is the equivalent of the fucking Tsar Bomb.
One very good (and disturbing) example is his now infamous Elf on a Shelf comic, where he felt a need to fucking add a panel that explains the joke. Cause, you know, even he thinks his fans are morons that need everything spelled out to them.
I don't get how he has no energy for drawing but can spew an essay's worth of text in less than a day; like my god learn to redirect that energy to something a bit more useful

I think he once described himself as "the comic guy" back when he was still in school.
I assume that was the only source of somewhat normal social interaction, Dobson drawing images or little comics for his classmates or helping them during art class.
My guess is that he made that his shtick and was completely obliterated and without identity, when he entered an art school where everyone was "the comic guy" and he was no longer something special.
I think it's a good rule of thumb that anything Dobson really hates is probably pretty awesome. I didn't know about Cinimasins until he started whining about it, and I'm now enjoying it immensely. He's got to be either totally oblivious to basic human communication or autism to not be picking up on the satire. It's really fascinating how dedicated he is to hating all things likeable.

This Youtube guy that makes “Everything Wromg With Everything Wrong” with videos(basically takes a EWW video and says why every “sin” is wrong and CinemaSins is stupid) released a video about how their brand of humor is actually really problematic, ect ect. Dobson, who already hated CinemaSins because he says it’s “mean humor”, saw a women post a link to it and say why she doesn’t like CinemaSins, and immediately white-knighted her when some people chose to politely disagree with her statements.
Tr,dr Dobson wanted to Hayes on CinemaSins because Dobson, and a video posting plus a Twitter discussion game him an excuse.
