Nobody intentionally picks the "wrong" side, you idiot. Even the worst Isis baby rapist thinks they are doing the right thing, and that whoever is on the other end of the spectrum is the one that's really in the wrong. Having a fixed, unwavering belief in any Ideology is exceptional. Being reasonable and able to admit when you are wrong is pretty much the only thing that's is going to save this toilet of a world.

I'm probably a bad communicator, because I wasn't saying that you should stick to an ideology. I'm saying that, for example, if violence is wrong, it doesn't matter who is perpetrating it - it's still wrong. So you don't go 'centrist' between them, you go directly to the other side, which is non-violence. Sorry if I'm being dumb here.

From what's being reported on the news here, he had multiple weapons in the room with him and didn't need to reload, only switch weapons.

If he was considered a "vip" on the strip, it's likely he knows the other vips. VIPs who blow their winnings on shit like expensive guns and still have enough to be a high roller.

clearly, the obvious solution to this is to ban guns. that's always worked. surely they couldnt just get guns from a black market dealer and/or use any other weapon in order to kill someone. its not like people in the past have killed each other with things other than guns

The only reason why Jonathan doesn't know of female mass murderers is because 1) he didn't bother doing any research as usual and 2) when a woman decides to murder a lot of people they don't often use guns. They'll use things like knives, poison, gas, and vehicles. Depending on the country, also suicide vests.

Joshy Macintoshy thinks that ALL violence comes from toxic masculinity, a stance which probably comes from his constant guilt over his gender, race, and economic privilege.

I've always wanted to ask him if ANTIFA's violence was also toxic masculinity, but I'm sure he'd just block me and embrace cognitive dissonance once again.

Centrists are not centrists on every topic under the sun. They are centrist in US politics. You know, they want to take good ideas from both Dems and Repubs and get rid of the dumb shit. As a centrist I am not wishy washy on violence or racism. I condemn both, unless its against furries.

First off, most mass murderers/shooters are young (or relatively young) men; Stephen Paddock was 64 years old. Most mass murderers leave behind some kind of manifesto or document explaining their motivations; from what I can tell, Stephen Paddock didn't leave behind any kind of detailed explanation (if he did, it would have mentioned by now). He also attacked from a vantage point, which while not unheard of (Charles Whitman is one of the most infamous examples) is still pretty unusual. Most mass murderers prefer to be up close and personal with their victims.

He also wasn't poor or anything either, but the one photo Marylou has with him (that's the photo journalists have been running with) he doesn't seem happy so some sort of depression I'm guessing, but Marylou was in pretty good spirits in that photo.
