To be honest, this is something I've been observing is sorely lacking. People often genuinely do not understand how to get from start to finish on a project, a movement, or anything else. They have no sense of scale and no concept of process; they just see the end result and start going for it, slapdash and half-cocked.
It doesn't even seem to be a generational thing; I've seen it across all age groups. One of my side projects is mentoring creative-project groups, and time and again, I come in and see them starting from the middle, with only the vaguest notion of what they're trying to accomplish, and then floundering around, losing focus and getting bogged down in unrelated details. The idea of having a vision and concrete goals and starting from that just blows their minds.
This may actually be part of the reason why the gap between the successful and the "average" continues to increase. People just dive in headfirst with no hard goals in mind, and no guiding principles other than "I think it would be great/cool if". And then, when the project fails, all that's left is blind envy of the people who did succeed--because their success looks like luck or magic.
And it's to be expected that this wouldn't be part of any kind of mainstream education. There are people out there who are very comfortable with success belonging only to the chosen few, and large sections of the population dependent upon them like serfs.
Let's talk about achieving goals.
A lot of lefties are mad Trump is president. They want a revolution.
Ok let's talk revolution.
What the reasoning for it besides "Trump got elected?"
Well I have a few.
The first motive I would state is global warming. Why? Because serious damage to society and life on Earth will occur if the issue isn't addressed. It's a do or die situation.
Most soft options to get the anti climate change side on board have failed. More forceful methods (including violence) are needed.
Would that mean violence be the best approach? No. As seen how the left is misbehaving and their temper tantrum are being used against leftist causes the answer is no
So what be the answer?
Well I would suggest fundraising more donating to people and organizations that are developing scientific solutions to the problem. I would also recommend collectivism or pooling funds to perform economic warfare. Buy stocks in companies that resist change. Buy them out. Do hostile takeovers. Have activists infiltrate said companies and organizations to help take over. Use meme warfare to smear organizations and people who are climate change deniers to ruin lives and lower stock prices. Liquidate organizations for profit. Use profit to fund political campaigns and further the cause. Use money to sue climate change deniers. If said industry has been taken over by infiltration black list climate change deniers from being employed in that field.
You may think this plan is ridiculous but I say it a lot more effective then beating on trashcans and vets in wheelchairs.

Question about this -- I've heard two different versions. One is that Trump rescinded Curry's invitation (okay, Curry didn't want to go in the first place). The other is that Trump canceled the entire team's visit. In THAT case, Trump would be the asshole. Which is it?
(FWIW, I wouldn't want to go either, but I'd suck it up for the sake of my teammates. Plus you get to see the WH!)

Because for them its an "Outside Context Problem". It all comes back to "Demographics is Destiny". That theory was was first proposed around 2000 but after 2008/2012 that viewpoint really took off among the Left. But nowhere was it more accepted. More wholeheartedly believed. More treated as Gospel. Than among Millennials. Think about it. The first time many of them voted for the President was in '08 or '12. They came of age under Obama. All the pollsters. All the academics. All the talking heads. They all agreed on one thing. "Demographics is Destiny". Millennials honestly believed no Republican was ever going to be President again...and if by some miracle a Republican did become President... they would be a bland inoffensive Jeb! tier "Centrist" Republican... and then Trump came along and cataclysmically shattered their entire worldview. They just can't even. They just can't handle. They just have no frame of reference for something like this. They just have no fucking idea what to do.
