Traditional British food is great. Although I learned one thing about British food customs. They don't put maple syrup on pancakes. A British friend told me this because she was astounded at the idea of Americans drenching their pancakes in sweet syrup.
I have to say, I love British food names. They're brilliant and funny.
So is there really more gay men wanting to just hook up, because most women wouldn't do it so much because of fear of STD's and other things.
I wasn't able to get minced lamb, so I had to settle with making a humble cottage pie. Worcestershire sauce is seriously underrated for cooking.

Also a British pancake is closer to a crepe than the fluffy American pancake, traditionally eaten with a squirt of lemon juice (from a lemon shaped plastic bottle, not fresh) and a sprinkle of white sugar. edit: on Shrove Tuesday, which we call Pancake Day.

Damn, those British schools be crazy. Sexual abuse seems common in the old British schools, at least in the 60s and 70s. Stephen Fry (I know, I know) was raped by an older boy when he was probably 13 or so. It was clearly rape, but he defended it when asked about it decades later, and he even said that he kind of wanted it.
Old school Family Guy was great. The first three seasons. Family Guy these days, not so much. Seth Green was the best thing about it, and Adam West. Seth Green's Robot Chicken is way better in my opinion.
