With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

  • 3 Stars — Average. Solid entertainment in spots, some good chaos and crashouts, but nothing special

  • 4 Stars — Really good. Lots of hilarious moments, strong fish personalities, solid content and vibes

  • 5 Stars — Peak Fishtank / Masterpiece. Non-stop insanity, legendary fish and production, pure chaos

Probably not, but I hope it goes off better than I expect. It would serve the wiggers right if James Drake somehow pulled off a flawless connection with a fishtank-level production, with multi-cam and so on. I know it won't happen, but it'd make me laugh.

There should be a Bingo card in general. Burt 'pitching a tent', Alex B and Drake fight, Landon being pathetic, Binx unfortunately being shot 56 times, twins getting lost and the weirdo doing another AI image of them in bikinis and so on.

Should "Landon being a pathetic simp for Vimp" even be included or is that too easy.
 
The off season has been mirroring the actual season quite well. Started off eventful. Fell into absolute nothing, and now the wheels have come off and the car is on fire while the natives dance around it.

It's like poetry, it ryhmes.
 
I hope it goes well just because James Drake is a nice guy and this is the kind of thing the wiggers should be doing in the offseason to keep people subbed.
 
Ben went live on Instagram earlier and said that they were kicked from Georgia for the same reasons as last time but are now leasing an office space in Rhode Island and moving the show back home. He mentioned they were also pretty depressed running the show without their friends around (which includes Sam). They wanted to have fun running the show and felt it would be better to move back and work on the show with all the guys from the office instead of just him and Jet alone in the south. Also it looks like they are renting an apartment for him and Jet to do light streams and give updates on the future of the show. Ben will apparently be streaming AC Black flag tomorrow on Kick.

I'm choosing to believe that this is true (i don't want to doom) and hope they aren't just being lazy but if it is true it means that Sam will likely be back as the host next season along with a completely new setting in a warehouse this time. It also seems like the entire crew except for Mints and Richie has been back at Sam's office studio for a while now.

Why do I get the feeling that we're not getting season 6 for another year?

Also, they mentioned Jet had some kind of... emergency? Death of someone close to them? Did anything public ever come of that? Or was that running cover for themselves because they were getting kicked from the Georgia house?

I like Sam, don't get me wrong. I felt like the lack of Sam in S5 made the season feel like a spin-off in some aspects. But will Sam want to be involved with all of his other projects he apparently has going on? Ren-Men, Are you OK?, that untitled car thing, the Sam Hyde Show, etc? He gets autistically focused on new projects but in return gets burned out and discouraged with "repeat" ones. I think that's why his output has such insane variability.

I hope he does return, even if it's only in a Bam-like host capacity and not a producer one. Even if he only shows up for a few hours every other day, I'm cool with that.
