Didn't Obsidian say they don't want to make any more Fallout and focus on their own games? I guessed Avowed and Outer Worlds failed that hard.

From the sound of it, most of the big hitters besides Chris Avellone are there, but the problem is that Chris Avellone is the only person on the team who doesn't take it up the butt and isn't inflicted with the woke mind virus or Mexican.

It's damage control not public interest. They are announcing a Fallout game is in development with people who worked on New Vegas. To combat the massive negative wave of criticism from all of the firings and studio closure announcements. But this announcement is even more premature than the new Elder Scrolls trailer. We won't see this game for a decade. By then the game could just as easily be canceled.
This is just to get the redditors and other retards to give their attention to the vague idea of a new Fallout game. And forget that the future of Xbox is the landfill. And the future of gaming is all digital rental games from the cloud.
This is how all Microsoft studios are. They can't make Starcraft or Halo or Fallout or anything else despite owning those IPs. Because the people who built those IPs have been fired from the industry by pajeets and kikes.

The only criticism is coming from Redditors/non gamers and jurnos. I've only seen gamers happy because they either had to sit through literal slop from the company they supported or sit through mediocrity in the guise of AAA. Jurnosfags and resetfags are the ones crying. The demos I communicate with daily are happy about the firings and studio closures. The Jeet seems to be giving Xbox fans what they actually want.

I'm cautiously, and emphasize, CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about this. They still have some of the New Vegas OG's that actually care about Fallout lore on their team. Maybe they can pull it off and maybe they can bring back Chris Avellone.
I hope Asha keeps cracking the whip and forcing Xbox's studios to actually make games that people fucking want instead of farting around making modern audience shit that doesn't sell.

They didn't fire people based on their ideology, the remaining developers will have not learned anything from their failures, and the workers that were laid off will be replaced by Indians.
So all you're going to get is a game as woke and unappealing as all modern Obsidian titles, only even more unfinished and buggy than their previous games.

I am pretty curious as to how this'll turn out. Between having to lay off 25% of their staff, having all their other projects cancelled, and most of the work on Grounded 2 apparently being outsourced to Eidos Montreal this new Fallout project is likely their last chance at Microsoft (and I doubt they can survive going back to being independent).
Unfortunately, even with a gun at their head I don't think they're capable of making anything better than a 6/10 game these days.

From what I've heard around she's the only one in a long time who has actually made smart business decisions. Her being completely inexperienced with gaming is honestly good, because unlike everyone else she's asking questions like "What do your employees do? What are your projects?" and she's being ruthless when she gets non-answers.

This may genuinely have been the worst news I've heard about Fallout since Todd announced they were making Fallout 76 and it was inspired by Rust, or when Bethesda announced they were updating Fallout 4 again and breaking all my fucking mods.
I disagree, if only because I think the tragedy of Fallout 76 is that it did have a lot of genuinely interesting ideas for factions, zones, and stories in it and Bethesda dropped the ball as usual. Mostly down to Emil (yes, that shitter took responsibility for this decision) deciding that Fallout 76 shouldn't have any human NPCs in it at launch, because the other games they were trying to rip off like Rust and DayZ don't have human NPCs. God forbid Bethesda had tried something new in the open world survival genre instead of just aping what was popular at the time.
Edit: It just hit me that they're going to make Obsidian make New Vegas 2 and it's going almost certainly going to be based on the fucking Fallout TV show. Fucking hell just let this series rot in peace please.

I agree that New Vegas was a significant improvement compared to the Bethesda ones, not a very high bar mind you. But I never really understood all the high praise for obsidian. Theres germs of attempts at good story telling and compelling elements here and there but its mostly bungled. The best you can say is they tried harder than most.
Since then they've released mostly mediocre titles and a couple of interesting ones but all are infected with an increasing dose of postmodernist DEI nonsense. New Vegas still got a dose of it despite being a very early title so its hard to get excited about what they probably have in store.

Dear God, please don't let this happen. The TV show was utterly retarded for undoing all the work you do as the Courier in NV, but if they turn it into an actual game, that will effectively codify it as canon and people will be forced to accept it. At least with 76 and the TV show itself, you can just ignore it for now and say they're non-canon.
