Dinklage sounded like shit i dont understand why people wanna act like he was goodreplacing peter dinklage was like replacing james earl jones with troy baker
I think its just cope that because nolan north sounds annoying to some people the obviously bored "can i go home now?" Dinklage is objectively betterare we really suggesting Dingklage is a better VA than Nolan North? Dink, a man who couldn't even put on the right accent for his family style of talking in Game of Thrones?
After playing for 6 hours or so, I can conclude this is the game's biggest flaw. The game is now utterly fucking schizophrenic in it's narrative and progression. I feel bad for new players without even the context I have left from playing the game up through Shadowkeep years ago, they must be utterly baffled as to what the fuck is going on. What in the fuck was Bungie smoking? The narrative is completely raped. Nothing makes sense. I have all the legacy campaigns unlocked at the same time, if I didn't already know better how the fuck would anyone know where to start? The game throws so much bullshit at you at once, I have dozens of random disjointed quests. where the fuck did all the planets go, and who do I need to call a nigger to blame for all of this? Could Bungie seriously not find a way to maintain the scale of the game? It feels smaller than it did 6 years ago. The aesthetic has taken a pretty steep hit with the cosmetics, as well.If you're hoping to get a completely cohesive story to play through, you're fresh out of luck in that regard.

Honestly man, Bungie deserves everything bad that's happening. These retards didn't deserve this game and what they did to it should be studied and taught in schools on how not to run an active long term narrative.Crow/Uldren being won over to the light is the overarching tug of war between the sides of good and evil in Destiny 2's overall meta narrative, you CANNOT EXPERINCE EITHER the start or the endpoint of his character arc!
because Yoshi P, and probably more aptly Natsuko Ishikawa undestand that the hero's journey requires their to be a fucking journey, when they start talking about the "long road you've traveled" in FF14, every player, especially once that started at ARR, knows and feels exactly what that means, in D2 its schizo storyline expositing at you, just like WoW, a new player to the franchise could never make sense of the journey the Protag has gone through.Honestly man, Bungie deserves everything bad that's happening. Fittingly for you, FFXIV is a great example. They don't baby new players into the latest expansion or just throw them straight into the fire. You gotta go all the way through every single expansion, hundreds upon hundreds of hours. Bungie has no excuse to have not found a way to keep the narrative intact for a cohesive experience.
I still remember their excuse at the time (aside from the technical debt of keeping all the old content working, something that doesn't seem to be much of a problem considering every expansion from Shadowkeep on is still in the game) was that they wanted to make it faster for new players to start playing with their friends. In their minds, every single person who got a friend into Destiny was saying "oh hey, I know you just started playing but you should come do this raid with us...oh wait, you've got a couple dozen hours of campaigns to do first, alright, let me know when you're done." So instead of allowing players to journey through the story at their own pace and gradually work up to bigger things, they deleted huge chunks of it and threw them in the deep end with no direction of what to do next.Honestly man, Bungie deserves everything bad that's happening. Yea that's exactly my point. I think Bungie got so wrapped up in their own egos that they forgot that the story is for the PLAYER, not Bungie. That, and I bet they lost confidence in their own narrative. I think New Light was a very good indication of that. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, Guardians made after New Light were canonically not involved with the campaigns that took place prior. It's like they were ashamed of what came before and wanted to hide it.because Yoshi P, and probably more aptly Natsuko Ishikawa undestand that the hero's journey requires their to be a fucking journey, when they start talking about the "long road you've traveled" in FF14, every player, especially once that started at ARR, knows and feels exactly what that means, in D2 its schizo storyline expositing at you, just like WoW, a new player to the franchise could never make sense of the journey the Protag has gone through.
when this theme kicks in, everyone knows its "your" theme, its 10 years of payoff, it has no meaning to someone who skips to Endwalker, its just rock mixed song, to long time fans, its To the Heavens/Maker's Ruin, instantly recognizable.

See, this is such stupid flawed logic on their part and would be easily solved by letting those friends who'd already completed the campaign come along with their friends for the ride as much as possible. Give them rewards for playing through campaigns with a lower light level friend. FFXIV has a daily roulette queue for "Main Scenario" dungeons, which allows higher level players to queue into those main scenario quests so newer players will always be able to find people to do them with. You get boosted experience and currency for doing this. They do the same thing for "leveling" dungeons. Obviously wouldn't work 1:1, but a similar system could work to keep people playing "old" content.was that they wanted to make it faster for new players to start playing with their friends. what was the update? steam pages at the time of writing says nothing outside the 18 jun week in destiny.
This bug was especially frustrating. Only way to fix it was a full team wipe. Glad it's fixed though I don't know if I want to grind out anything in DSC outside of Eyes catty, already have crafted Heritage.Fixed an issue where the elevators would often kill players taking them.
It was also bad in Seraph's Shield because that's the last ultimate conquest, and if anyone died to the elevators, you pretty much had to restart because you couldn't rez them. (I think I heard it might force an auto-rez if you get past the Brigs section, but I'm not sure.) At least it was relatively early on, but it was still annoying to waste a few minutes to something completely out of your control, especially if it kept happening. This bug was especially frustrating. I love me some well done callbacks but the fact Crow ended up in this position three times is funnythe funniest shit is how some of the biggest narrative turns happened in seasons that can't be done.

I hate how people defend the removing of campaigns because of bullshit like "oh everyone hated these campaigns when they came out why are you acting like you enjoyed them now?" I was there when Curse and Warmind came out i remember a lot of people saying they liked the campaigns the problem was that they were really fucking short and that the strikes that came with them were just story missions slightly changed and forsaken had one of its unique strikes locked to playstation for a year.I also remember their reasoning for getting rid of the old campaigns was that nobody played them anymore. Yeah, nobody was playing them because you set it up so that you could only ever play through the campaigns once per character, retards!
Yeah but this was also a problem with D2 launch as if you were a new player your guardian was somehow both treated as an important figure the vanguard knew and trusted but also a new guardian who doesn't know what fallen, vex, cabal and taken are which is shown through the veteran/new player dialogue changes. I don't think it was bungie being ashamed of what came before and just them trying to deal with the fact that new lights can't play Red war-Forsaken and thus try to write around it so their guardian can still become important and on par with a D1 year 1 guardian or even a D2 year 1 guardian.Yea that's exactly my point. so i guess laser painter is just never gonna be focusable and i gotta spend gambit cyphers on rolls, that sucks
Granted, there was a lot of criticism of the writing in the year 1 campaigns, even at the time. People hated the overly quippy MCU-tier writing constantly undercutting what should have been a much more serious affair in the Red War campaign, where the threat of every Guardian potentially being cut off from their Light permanently was shoved aside for lame jokes and annoying characters. Then along comes Curse of Osiris, finally introducing us to one of the most famous Guardians in lore, and the interactions with him and Sagira just reek of more of the same awful writing. Warmind was somewhat better at least, but that was a low bar to clear.I hate how people defend the removing of campaigns because of bullshit like "oh everyone hated these campaigns when they came out why are you acting like you enjoyed them now?" The "canon" Guardian has experienced everything from the start of D1 to the present, even if you started playing in D2. While some of the dialogue changed dependent on if you were a D1 vet or not, that was really more to just skip over stuff that the player would already know, or make a reference to events they'd previously experienced to make them go "haha neat." Yeah, this means that if you don't get the veteran dialogue, characters are explaining stuff that the Guardian should already know, but that's a small sacrifice to make to ensure that players that started with D2 would still be caught up to speed (mostly).Yeah but this was also a problem with D2 launch as if you were a new player your guardian was somehow both treated as an important figure the vanguard knew and trusted but also a new guardian who doesn't know what fallen, vex, cabal and taken are which is shown through the veteran/new player dialogue changes. It doesn't really matter now, does it? its over, the story ends on Star Wars, which ended on a cliffhanger about the retarded Nine, which no one gives a fuck about, it hardly matters how they fucked up our protag's canon timeline anymore, does it?Granted, this does get more complicated when they implemented the Cosmodrome and New Light campaign when they vaulted year 1. Now, whenever someone starts playing, they're awoken in the Cosmodrome like everyone else, then after the campaign they're sent to the D2 Tower without ever going to the original, which is already destroyed. I don't think the intention was ever to make a distinct split between these groups of Guardians and have there be two "canonical" Guardians (one who started before Beyond Light and one who started after), but rather it was just Bungie fucking up and not properly addressing the issues they created by vaulting the campaigns. Even if you never experienced D1 through Forsaken as a player, the Guardian as a character still did.
