I think a lot of that discussion comes from a place of immense frustration. People don't like being called a bad guy for pointing out that a lot of the ideas that women have been sold could use some closer examination. So it leads to resentment. You don't want to be a bad guy because you told someone you care about that maybe she should pick one man and build a life with them instead of continuing on the path of hookup culture. Or getting berated for thinking we have a bit of a migrant crisis on our hands. Or that maybe a man in a dress should not be allowed access to their hypothetical daughter in the bathroom.
Women are one of the strongest enforcers of the prevailing culture and will tend to defend a flawed ideology that they've been sold until the consequences of following the social norm becomes too extreme. The frustration people have with white women is understandable, but it is also true that to make the future a brighter place they need to be on board with us as well.
