What are we thinking this guy did? I'm assuming rape and/or involvement with some lefty terrorist shit. Either way I hope this leaves him and his race in shambles.

This is the third (?) time there has been a big scandal hyped up before a wet fart. I won't expect much of anything until it's out.

I get the impression Rubio really enjoys being the SoS and allows him to focus on effective foreign policy instead of the gay real politik slapfighting.

It'd be nice, I'd prefer him in that role, but being President essentially makes you part of History, and it's a temptation few can resist if they have any kind of a shot at it.

Another nothing burger, this is so weird that they keep doing it that I'm starting to tingle in the tin foil. Either:

• There is something really bad in his closet, and they are blowing up these minor scandals so that people are disinterested by the time the real big story drops
• Probably more likely, internal polling has him matching up against Collins very poorly(which is a bad sign for the party over all, since public polling has him 6-7 points ahead), and they want to gently replace him before the election with out completely tanking their chances if he stays in. With him cancelling event I'm guessing he's going to quit in time and is currently negotiating with the party on what's in it for him before announcing.
