Most of America is broadly conservative, from my experience moving around when I was young. It's strange to me still seeing people online that believe America is meant to be this leftist shithole. I have lived in multiple states at this point with drastic changes in government. Illinois is blue because of Chicago, the rest of the state is red otherwise, Colorado went to shit over time due to retarded decisions but still has red holdouts, and Utah is holding steady.

We had some storms approaching but it was far off enough that all it did was create a moody backdrop for the fireworks. Between the fireworks going off, behind them the clouds would light up and there'd be flashes of nice fat lightning bolts across the dark clouds like God himself wanted to contribute to the show.

Right after the fireworks finished up for the most part, the storm was close enough to provide some gusts of wind to cool everyone off after a pleasantly warm day - albeit a bit muggy and humid.

We blasted country roads and sang along, sang happy birthday to America, ate ice cream, drank beer, and had a great time.

It was truly kino. I couldn't have asked for better. A magical 250 to remember for a lifetime.
