Gonna be working for the big two fiddy, but I'm proud to do my part in the most extraordinary logistics chain that has ever existed. Can't wait to see the fireworks go up across every city town and village that I pass through tonight. God bless our republic. God bless you kiwis.

Thank you @Null for making the one website that still feels like America. I dont care how cynical we're supposed to be about politics and liberalism these days. When you came back to this country and posted that Thomas Payne reading on your gumroad, I cried listening to it. Theres a reason this country was founded. People like us would have languished in the old world.

For the 250th Gilligan (or someone else) has brought back odenkirk and banks to reprise their roles to push forward leftist messages it seems (MY HECKIN CHARACTER AGREES WITH ME) even though both BB and BCS were apolitical. One of the videos pokes fun at the administration "hiding" the epstein files

and then there's the most recent one where Mike goes on a "Mccarthy was bad communism isn't that serious!" rant most likely filmed just after the trump speech about communism.

Why would they pick the career criminal characters to preach their politics instead of actually morally good characters in the show who were victimized? What did they mean by this?

Can someone help me clear up what the majority of people who see themselves as "right wing" or "right of center" believe?

Landlords, are they hardworking and bring value to the community with their investments, or are they scum of the earth? (or some other sentiment)
Feelings on Israel, support or against?
Environmental stuff, do we care about pollution or not?

I have an idea about how people's beliefs general group together but I want to see what people respond without further prompting/assumptions.
First of all, what the majority of people believe shouldn't be that important to you. If you're just interested in some opinions and discussion then that's another thing. But you should take all information into account, and draw your own conclusions.

In my own opinion about the three things you listed, it depends. But most of what it depends on, is people, and their intentions.
You look at Israel, and what do you see? I see a nationalist country. I want America to be a nationalist country. Therefore, I want America to be like Israel in that sense. At the same time, jews are well known for doing all sorts of insane shit that I shouldn't need to explain. Even lefties are starting to wake up to this fact. But lefties focus on stupid shit like human rights violations and genocide, as if muslims in palestine are worth considering human beings. It all depends on people and their intentions.

For landlords, it basically comes down to markets and economics. Obviously there's some insidious shit with private equity buying up all the properties so you vill own nothing and be happy, but aside from that, if you can't afford to live, then you should probably move. I personally don't like spending time thinking about landlords because I consider the problem to be downstream of other, bigger problems.

The environment is obviously important, but so is human civilization. You can't have your cake and eat it too. The fact remains that China and India pollute much more than anyone else, and yet we in the west are supposed to be taking up the lion's share of the burden? I don't think so. Again, it is people and intentions. If the intention is to mass import third worlders with third worlder ideas, then you're going to have to grapple with the pollution issue. I have a feeling the can will just be kicked down the road for the next 50 years, and little will change. I'm woke on the water purification question, everything else will be what it will be. I recommend doing your own research to protect yourself and your family.

This is a public service announcement. It is not funny, or related to lolcows in any way. It is entirely about horribly avaricious chemical companies and incompetent government.
You may skip this post if you do not want to hear bad news.

The Environmental Protection Agency has just announced plans to roll back regulations on the amount of PFOA/PFAS/C8 allowed in drinking water across America. Essentially, these are manmade chemicals that take an extremely long time to break down, including when they get inside your body through contaminated water. There is a 99% chance that your bloodstream contains these chemicals right now.

This is a problem because in 2005, a massive study was undertaken in West Virginia as part of a lawsuit against the company primarily responsible for PFOA/PFAS/C8 contamination, DuPont. The study sampled the blood of seventy thousand people in an attempt to figure out if these chemicals are dangerous to your health. Studying this amount of data took years, and eventually the chemicals were positively linked to many horrific health complications, including birth defects and cancer. In 2017, DuPont was forced to pay a $671 million settlement to the 3,550 individuals identified as having been affected by PFOA/PFAS/C8 contamination in the study, and they paid $1 billion in cases related to the chemicals in 2024.

This is Bucky Bailey, born in 1981 to a woman who worked at DuPont in West Virginia. His right eye is a few inches lower than where it should be, because they wanted to sell more Teflon.

These chemicals are demonic manmade horrors that should not exist. Non stick frying pans and other industrial applications do not justify their existence. They are literally poison. I encourage anyone who is concerned about this to first, educate yourself more on the topic, then contact your elected representatives, and respectfully indicate your displeasure with the situation.

If you are concerned about yourself and your immediate family, be advised that reverse osmosis water filter systems are the most effective option for filtering these chemicals out of your drinking water. They are expensive and complicated, and remove other essential minerals such as calcium as well. This is not really an issue if you, as an adult, have a good diet, but if you have children, especially young children, you may want to consult a professional about whether or not you should include mineral supplements in their diets after installing a reverse osmosis system.

Whether left or right it’s going to change a lot depending on country, region, culture, and religion. In the US the right wing is different from Europe because our conservatives trace their beliefs to the American Revolution which was at the time considered liberal. The European right has its roots in monarchism. The American right and left hold greater suspicion of government than their European counterparts do. The people who would’ve been the conservatives were the loyalists who either assimilated, fled to Canada, or fled to the UK. Many of them lost their properties or were beaten when the British left the 13 colonies. Which is why there’s some underlying cultural differences between the American right and the Canadian or British right.
Landlords, are they hardworking and bring value to the community with their investments, or are they scum of the earth? (or some other sentiment)
Tends to be mixed. Generally hatred towards large corporation and disdain for boomers. Boomer conservatives think it’s their god given right for real estate values to always go up.
Feelings on Israel, support or against?
The former Republican establishment liked Israel’s money and a chance to blow money on weapons.

The tide is going against Israel. Historically Christian conservatives were very pro Israel but due to support by Jewish left that are antagonistic to the Christian right it’s changing. Many boomers also were hyper sensitive to the holocaust but a lot of time has passed since then so it’s no longer as socially prescient. There are still pro Israel religious individuals but they tend to be evangelical, Mormon, or older.

Many ethnic nationalists aren’t fond of israel because they are a boogeyman much in the same way that black nationalists will blame whites for everything. It doesn’t help that many criticisms of Israel is met with deplatforming which feeds the flames.

Other right wingers are lukewarm because they don’t like Muslims and see them as a larger threat. There’s also some who are focused on international politics who are pro Israel to an extent that interests overlap.

There are also right wing contrarians that like Israel because leftists hate them. Generally speaking the counter a conservative is the less sympathetic to Israel they are, even if they support Israel on paper for being a check on Muslims or for real politick.. but even then its more transactional than before.
Environmental stuff, do we care about pollution or not?
Right wingers don’t want things to be dirty but often see environmentalism as corruption to keep small business down, protect entrenched interests, and often supported by foreign powers to allow them to industrialize and prevent America from doing so. But they accept it to a degree but want it toned down. It’s also more of a focus on things being clean/orderly/safe and not because they think it’ll cause the end of the world.

The maga right should be seen as ex democrats that were more on the blue collar labor side with a pinch of nationalism. The old republicans didn’t like environmentalism because they only cared about profits. People tend to conflate the two but the old school republicans are dead.

Good for you for asking.

Some landlords are good, some are bad, it depends on the person. As for Israel, they still have a lot of influence but support of the Israelis is dwindling, especially among younger people on the American Right. Finally for the environment, there are different stances to be had on that and they usually range from deregulating everything in the name of profit and "innovation" versus keeping land around as a conservation effort for future generations.

Landlords can be good or bad.

Israelis can be good or bad.

Environmental stuff about conserving scarce resources and not polluting is good. We shouldn't throw our trash in the grass and shit in the street. Environmentalism based in simulation-based panics based on "line go up" consequences we are guessing at, with the solutions always oriented around decreasing quality of life and technological development, is not.
