It's either this or they build up some absurd idea of the woman inside their head (think manic pixie dream girl), falling in love almost immediately and becoming needlessly possessive and clingy. For me personally, I don't reach 'love' or even attachment until I've built up a genuine connection over time and really understanding someones personality, motives and history. When men do this, it makes me hate them and even question myself. It's not a real bond and feels so inauthentic and gross. I wonder if I allowed this, or if I behaved in a certain way for it to happen, but I was myself. It really is just them not necessarily caring if someone is right for them, and latching onto anything and trying to force it to work, probably out of fear of dying alone. He was really good-looking and his dick was huge but he was an alcoholic with ADHD and a spotty history of dead-end jobs that he'd leave after a year or two. So women saw him as hookup material, not boyfriend material. Some men think that's living the dream, but this guy hated it because he was basically just being pumped and dumped and could never get a woman to commit. He didn't actually want the responsibility of a relationship, I think he just wanted a steady partner so he had a place to stay and someone to clean up after him, but that's a horse of a different color.
