Even the strikes on kyiv and the strikes in russia have been going on for months.

Speaking from a US foreign aid position, it seems to have been the correct decision to fund Ukraine by giving them weapons and training. Russia is seriously suffering now and the Ukrainians are paying the US back by heading the drone response for the GCC countries as well as sharing drone information with the US.

The New York Times made a racial map that allows you to differentiate by ethnicity:
It actually makes me so fucking mad looking at the areas around me and in small red counties, Why the fuck are there Iraqis and Afganis in east coast small town America. why is the Midwest flooded with Mexican when most of them used to be Polish/German majority. Oh wait now I remember it's because the blue governors in these states bused them in so that the factories can be staffed with foreigners who can't even speak fucking English.

only you guys could have the temerity to deride German military engineering capacity
https://youtube.com/watch?v=5dr5OAfvGyI
Ill give you guys this, after the 12 day slap fight you guys LOCKED YOUR MEDIA DOWN, go on YouTube and type "Israeli missile failure" and you can only find Indian and Muslim sources showing the few clips that break through the digital walls of Jericho.
the stupidity it takes to claim this. twitter is full of israeli failed missiles videos.

The GCC countries made sharing footage of missile videos illegal and plenty still come out.

also lol at german military engineering, the germans were not working on missile interception near obsessively for 2 decades.

Dunno, from what we see, lots of Tankies like Hasan love and worship China and use it as an example for why socialism "works"
No, they often praise them and use them as examples of how "communism works" and often state that other communist states that fell were "not real communism"
We must be looking at very different crowds of leftards, because I've seen even no small number of Redditors shitting on Hasan for being the textbook exemplar of a loathsome champagne socialist, shocking Kaya, etc. and on China for violating central tenets of Marxism in the name of pragmatism. Being a big fan of Mao & thinking Deng betrayed his legacy by not being as pants-shittingly insane, allowing market reforms & so on is a hallmark of tankie thought (just as they like to give late-stage Lenin crap for employing the New Economic Plan).
I have never said that the Christians of those era didn't believe in Christianity, I said that they simply rejected the bad parts of Christianity and reformed it to a functional working system to create functional working society.
Do you really think every Communist in China doesn't genuinely believe in Communism or some aspects of it. Like you, they simply believe that they are the "good communists" meanwhile the true communists that led to the destructions of nations are the "bad communists"

Believing in something doesn't make you some special authority in said thing nor does it mean that you adhere to it strictly.
You can be a believer in "socialism" but the version that isn't really socialist and actually works and apply it to real life and not have it collapse nations.
This is such a broad category that it would apply to literally every single religion & ideology out there, including Islam and capitalism, and thus be useless as a criticism. Even Britain & the US didn't implement unvarnished perfect laissez-faire capitalism & free trade with no adaptation whatsoever to the realities of their respective situations either (for example, Gilded Age America - which is what most people think of when they hear 'peak unfettered capitalism' in an American context - generally had extremely high, 40-50% tariffs contrary to the dictates of Adam Smith). For a modern example AJ (Al-Jolani/Al-Sharaa) has sanded down the rough edges of Islamism in Syria and created probably the first ever functional Sunni Islamist state which also gets along (more or less) with the USA, in no way does this erase his history as a literal Al Qaeda emir or make him not an Islamist except in the eyes of even more insane Islamists who'd rather roll with the dysfunctional but 'purer' Afghanistan model instead.

Like, no shit a religion which explicitly states that this world is a fallen one & perfect paradise can only be found in a distant Heaven you can't go to without dying first would have to undergo adaptations to function in said fallen world. The key question is whether those adaptations fatally compromise the core teachings of Christianity, the way that Deng Xiaoping had to (quite obviously, so much so that he was regularly called on it & even purged a couple times for doing so in life) fatally compromise on core tenets of Communism by being a capitalist roader, deciding private ownership is actually not undermining socialism ackshually, inviting foreign corporate investments, etc. I would daresay that not only has Christianity adapted to become the founding cornerstone of many successful & long-lasting kingdoms/nations, but its record is observably a far more successful one than many secular-materialist ideologies that are all about the 'here & now' like Communism.
If the Christian Church truly adhered to Christian values, they would be letting rapists and killers go free as long as "they accepted Christ in their hearts."
They didn't do that, going against Christian values and able to create functioning societies.
Whether Medieval Nobles believed or didn't believe in a God or Jesus existing is irrelevant, what matters is how much their societies did didn't function in accordance to Christian values.
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." No, I don't think the guy who said that would approve of his followers letting rapists & killers (especially of children) to go free if they just say they totally believe in him, and I think you should really look into buying a fedora or ten for even thinking this would be a halfway reasonable argument.

"For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer." Sure, forgiveness is between you & God (and the person you wronged, or their family if they're dead, etc.). But the Bible straight up says, well after the establishment of the 5th Commandment and the well-noted use of the death penalty in ancient Israel, that states still legitimately wield 'the sword' with which to punish evildoers and safeguard the good. Even if granted by the wronged party, personal forgiveness doesn't exempt the rapist or murderer from legal punishment up to & including the headsman's ax.
And you see here? This is exactly the proof and reason why Christianity at it's core was a shitlib religion.
Basically, if you murder people, you can be "forgiven" as long as you genuinely turn to Christ.

A true Christian would advocate for murderers to be released if they turned their life around and repented if they wanted the Government to work like Christian Doctrine says.
Your understanding of Christianity must come from Chick tracts or similarly retarded sources if you think this is the case. The 5th Commandment is 'thou shalt not murder', Romans covers the legitimate use of the death penalty & other legal punishments as mentioned above, the Book of Revelation has got Jesus smiting the absolute shit out of the armies of the Antichrist & all who follow him (implicitly including pretty much every manner of sinner imaginable, and more than a few which are unimaginable, by that point) and it's absolutely portrayed positively, plenty of Christian Church Fathers were arguing in favor of the death penalty from the earliest centuries (Catholicism was all for it until literally these last two Popes), etc.

Has anyone been keeping up with what's going on between the Louisiana state gov and New Orleans? I'm just now seeing posts about it and I can't make too much sense of it beyond New Orleans dems being retarded and picking a fight they (seemingly) won't win.
if half of Louisiana broke of and sank into the gulf it wouldent even make the front page but speaking of those dirty gulf hugging swamp states Mississippi has had a relatively recent super positive development id like to highlight and is inherently US politics

so lets set the stage, in 2013 out of 50 states Mississippi was 49th this was largely due to the infamous "no child left behind" policy this force public schools to focus more on graduation rate rather than any other metric, in order to allow increasingly non English speaking kids to pass the "standards" phonics was almost completely abandoned in favor of simply teaching students how to MEMORIZE WORDS, take a moment to let that marinate how incideious a concept that is, you read that right, so they never learn to sounds words out so if they encounter a word they dont know they just have to skip it.

But this is a feel good story remember?

this lady, Mary Cantwell, and a team of other dedicated specialists by sheer force of genuine love for education brought back phonics into the Mississippi school district by their dedicated work and the grace of God, as of 2025 Mississippi is ranked 6 out of 50 in youth literacy rates. Nothing short of a miracle brought about by herculean effort in the face of little reward but knowing its the right thing to do.

please watch the video, its so invigorating to hear someone talk about education with such obvious passion, if the whole education department was like this lady and her larger department we would have nothing to worry about.

anyway thats my story, no grand conclusion or call to action, just a nice feel good story.

I live in MN, and looking at the map, my apartment-hunting process worked out well. I live in the whitest downtown area possible. Despite that, I still have to deal with pissed covered homeless people screaming in the streets, but all my neighbors are White and rich libs, and my coffee shops are nice. Ahh, living in a Blue city for sure isn't hell; I love it. Looking at the map makes my skin crawl. I was born and raised in MN, and the flood of out-of-town brownies and self-hating whites has made it go from a good state with some annoying lib shit to a dysfunctional, depressing place where no one cares about anyone around them unless they are told to or think it'll make them look righteous. I've seen generic Minnesota nice women go from normal caring moms and wives to abusive divorced monsters who have no problem calling for the hanging of all government employees whom they deem bad. Every event I've gone to in recent years is filled with people who aren't from the Midwest or the Midwest spirit and culture has completely died, and it feels like a corporate death march where everyone wears a fake smile and avoids contemplation, not to mention if you talk to any MN-born person long enough they will also mention the decline in everything but can't point to any reason why besides meh government, totally not the fact were being invaded by people who want to destroy are way of life.

The left became powerful through an aggressive use of violence, and a dogmatic adherence to the collective, two things that the right simply does not have. The right is constantly infighting, and when they do gain ground they can't hold it. The left managed to completely dominate every institution from education to science and media over the course of about a decade, and a decade later we are only getting small surface level victories.

I'm not saying we shouldn't try or be happy, but we also shouldn't be complacent and most right wingers are. "We got Trump in office we win boys!" Then people stop paying attention and we backpedal everything we gained.
The left is more divided overall. They tend to act like chickens in the sense they’ll start pecking each other to show dominance and when they sense weakness they’ll peck the injured one to death. The difference is that they are idiots who believe in it wholesale and don’t black pill and cope how they can get it to work this time. On one hand they keep getting the ball taken from them Charlie Brown style by more ruthless authoritarians but on the other hand it lets them get further via faith than if they were purely an intellectual movement.

In term of elections one of the issues is that historically speaking a significant minority, one that is larger than Democrat or Republican Party membership, of American men tend to be black pilled conservatives who don’t have faith in the system or that things will change. This is by design. The left in America unlike the left in Latin America do not want 100% turn out because they’d lose. So voting turn out organizations tend to be aimed at white women, black women, and college students. They also simultaneously want to keep the socially conservative but unaffiliated at home. If there was a 100% turn out a lot of states that are light blue would become red and they’d lose even some of their supposed strongholds.

That there were more black pilled conservatives was something that stuck with me in civics class back in the day and also because I am familiar with Democrat canvassing. The politically unaffiliated leaned right but they often had proto maga kind of views in that they were necessarily antagonistic to protectionism and that’s kind of why the democrats steam rolled the republicans in 08. The democrats went all in on globalism sucking, republicans wanting higher migration to supress wages, the republicans being chicken hawks that start wars, having republicans caused the market crash because bush was president when it happened, etc. No one wanted what McCain offered. Neoconservatives were unpopular even back then and couldn’t move the needle to save their lives. No one was or is enthusiastic about sending jobs to China or “free markets.”

When certain progressives post I think of the paradox of tolerance. Clearly we’ve been tolerating their bull shit for too long.
