Re: Adrienne. The use of a developmental editor can be incredibly useful for writers to polish and make their work shine. They operate a bit differently than what most people think of as an editor — they aren’t looking for typos or trying to correcT the record, but rather looking at what things like characterization are doing to the story, plot holes, etc.
I’m guessing that after they realized that his writing ability, much like his father in the washroom at the rodeo, was overblown, they decided to cut bait particularly after tepid book sales.
Think about it in another medium: imagine if Concorde ended up getting 3 sequels and a huge media push despite it stinking worse than Niki’s fumigated (barren) baby box. It’d be financially stupid and since budgets are far more important in publishing, the only thing amazing about Patty’s writing career is he got a multi book deal as a debut “”””author””””.
It’s also crazy looking at successful authors. I was listening to a talk Stephen King gave and he was talking about how long it takes him. Running Man? Finished that over winter break while he was a teacher. Maximum Overdrive took about a month. Regardless of your opinions on King’s prose, he’s successful and his output dwarfs Patty’s pitiful putrid prose, much like Patty’s bitch tits rival that of your favorite porn starlet.

I didn't really enjoy his other books, but you can at least get something out of them. You know what makes Gate Crashers so fucking insufferable? It's comedy. Fucking comedy. Comedy of a particularly shitty type at that.

There's another insufferable asshole who is a great candidate for a thread on here (if they continue being a lunatic): Audra Winter aka Milo Winter. Three guesses as to their gender identity. The BookTok and assorted circles have been tearing Winters to pieces over their shitty novel, excuses, grifting, etc. If you look up their turd of a novel (Age of Scorpius) or their name on YouTube a bunch of videos will come up. Worth checking out if you like literary lolcows.
It would be wonderful if they could turn their attention to Patty's shit.

Yeah he, like most deadbeat parents have this bullshit Hollywood fantasy that one day their kid shows up and they have a good relationship.
I suspect that his daughter will go through what I went through with my birth parents. Pat will get a call when his daughter is advised to learn his medical history for any potential genetic concerns.
And Pat being his vindictive, idiot I suspect that within 5 minutes of talking to her over the phone, he will start shit talking her mother and her dad.
And given that she had to go through the painful process of burying the man that raised her, I suspect the conversation will end abruptly.
Then Pat will do some sort of vindictive shit like doxing her on social media and she will get harassed for a while by his trolls.

Patrick has threatened to kill his wife before and was arrested for it, despite him denying it ever happening. If he gets made a prime suspect because of this element of his past catching up to him then we'll be neck deep in milk for months. His local police department might find it a challenge to be unbiased due to the recent lawsuit.
Due to the pests apparently not knowing what a boundary is, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if one of them has attempted to "slide into Nikki's DMs" (as the kids say) and attempt to strike up a romantic relationship. I wonder what Fatso would do if Nikki was swept off her feet by a pest and decides to leave him. I could definitely see him threatening violence once again.
To echo what others have said, it’s between Gate Crashers and Starship Repo. Gate Crashers is so bad it’s actually hard to read which is why I might suggest Starship Repo over it but either way you’re in for a bad time.
