Seems like the community is enjoying this one. Some are saying it looks amazing, and they really love the ending. Many are saying it’s one of the best of 2026.
Next time is Aang vs the Traveler from Genshin Impact. A lot are saying Aang gets stomped. And some are hoping Aang is presented better than how he was in his fight against Edward Elric.

Arguably my second favorite episode of the season, but dethroning Cell vs Metal Sonic is going to be a tall order. Salt is going to be on the menu for the next episode though.

Honestly, watching the Sentry and SBP abilities is just so comical because, really, how is this any different from that scene from Toy Story 3 with Andy just making up powers on the spot in his imagination ?
Power scaling these characters is pointless because you might as well say they can do literally anything, they are the legit poster child of "Whatever the writer wants atm". And a constant reminder that the writers that came up with this shit just didnt care, I mean, why would they? Just throw some absurd feats and stats and call it day, let the kissless virgin nerds put way more thought into this for free than they ever did while getting paid (and laid).
I think there is some sort of "line" that gets often crossed with these characters, when they become just so absurd with their stats and feats that, really, it practically becomes just short of saying "infinite strength, speed, powers or whatever" because it might as well just be that in a narrative sense.
Its writing by spergs for spergs and Im very sure Death Battle knows it by now, especially in these particular match ups where sharing all these stats and feats almost becomes rather pointless because they are just throwing 0s around, the viewers cant truly "grasp" the sheer enormity of what is being laid out so it really becomes a numbers game over who has the most 0s.
Its like the Mecha Sonic match up with Cell, if the former that truly beat the latter, then just how come M.S loses any fights whatsoever? The plot contrivances are laid bare now and it becomes frustrating. Because what is defeating these characters or preventing them from going all out and defeating gods is merely the plot and nothing else.

It's the classic Stan Lee quote where he says whoever wins in a fight is whoever the writer wants to win. Once I realized that was all Death Battle was, I knew there was no point to watching them anymore because I could do the same thing on my own, minus the fight animations. Once those got bad, I dropped them completely.
This is another reason why I could never take powerscaling seriously, if Sonic is so fast he can move faster than light (or whatever scale it is now), and somehow everyone else scales off of him, then how aren't him and his friends stopping villains within seconds? If Metal Sonic is somehow stronger than a DBZ villain, then how come he can't one shot Sonic? You'd have a better time smashing action figures together than you would watching these videos and trying to make sense of their logic.

It's complete nonsense how they hyped up IDW and wouldn't actually use the broken Japanese G1 Megatron with bullshit stuff like using the power of Primus lol. Because that's the thing that would actually beast Frieza.
Hell the Optimus Prime episode was bad too. They pitted him against the RX-78-2 Gundam, which was already outdated by the end of the first series. It should have been the Nu Gundam.
