But that shit isn't going to fly if you're an average westerner in your 70s. You don't have the tools anymore at that age, and running your yap at someone 50 years younger will likely see you get your ass beat or even killed.
I've mentioned before that Millennials are the Boomers of the 21st Century. It's why those two generations hate each other so much. They (correctly) see each other as competition in every aspect of socio-economic life, they both treat politics like a religion, and they both tend to have the same unwarrantedly smug, snarky attitude about anyone that doesn't think exactly like them. This dynamic is particularly notable with ex-hippies and Jones Boomers, and the faction of Millennials that treated Jon Stewart like a political sage.
Eh, even then that younger guy that got got by the priest looked like a scrawny jerk who spent most of his time with a cushion under his ass. If he was in better shape or was really anyone other than a lame weirdo that priest's shit would've been rocked unless he put lots of effort into staying on top of his own fitness and was trained to handle such situations, maybe, street fights are random AF and pretty quick. It really wasn't an impressive smackdown anyway despite it being justified. All that zoomzoom had to do was realize the intent the guy was coming at him with and not be fucking around with his phone.
The media. Lots of boomer-friendly media that shows some grizzled old man knock out some young punk on TV. Much like the boss babe weighing 105 pounds trying to knock out a 250 pound powerlifter made of pure muscle, reality plays out a lot more differently than what’s on the screen. Gran Torino might be the biggest offender. In reality, those gangs can knock Clint Eastwood flat on his ass, boomer power fantasies be damned.
They all think they are some shitty action movie protagonist like John Wayne or whatever where if they just throw their weight around and act tough everyone will cower before them. Entertainment has rotten boomers brains far worse than any generation after them. They really can't tell the difference between reality where your out of shape boomer ass is getting fucked up and a movie power fantasy where these fat decrepit washed up 80s action stars are able cruise through wave after wave of fit, able body men. I like to call it Sensei Segal Syndrome.

This is my Dad. He lives part time with me. He only showers about once every week or two and he insists on cleaning his dentures with the garden hose. I think he poops outside somewhere because he hardly ever comes in to use the toilet and he doesn't have one in the casita he lives in. Also, I do his laundry for him, usually about once a month, and there will only be one or two pairs of underwear in there. He's 78.
Wherever boomers go, rehab places and half way houses pop up like crazy because they drag their millennial drug rat kids along for a “fresh start.”
Tbf 20's-70's would be more of a silent generation thing. Not like the changes to shaving wrought by boomers werent equally as wasteful and dangerous, though more expensive as is the boomer way
I actually witnessed this recently on Nextdoor. Some 18 year old zoomer druggie was on there asking for a cash-only job. People were providing responses and it was his mother who was responding to them. One of them asked why it was her who was responding and not her fuck up of a son. She responded that he was busy and he hadn’t checked the website yet, even though this thread was going on for a couple days. The mother was in her early 40s so it was a millennial mother but you could see the dynamic play out. You knew this druggie had time to respond and it was her mother nudging her son along. It was interesting.
This is a “greatest” and depression-era generation thing. I’ve encountered this before in older houses. Some houses that got remodeled just closed or sealed up the slots and kept the razors. As odd as it is, at least it shows some consideration for the sanitation workers. Boomers wouldn’t give a shit if a garbage man nicked his hand.

I had one get physical with me a year or so back. There is some level of delusion for someone to strike me first, then when I tried to walk away this faggot's screaming "where ya goin?!" at the top of his lungs. Get right in my face, then proceed to shut up as I have him pinned to the fucking floor about a minute later. all while he's screaming "It was self defense" like the spoiled manbaby he was. I genuinely hope that faggot learned his lesson.
