JD is not Pence. Even back then, it was understood pence was just there as a seat warmer, and to get moderate votes. JD has been unusually active for a VP. Trump has been testing him by giving him tasks he would otherwise have dealt with himself. Trump isn't stupid. He wants to see if JD can take his place. Same with Rubio. In the end I imagine one will be chosen to run without much blood, metaphorically speaking. Trump has been picking his heir this whole time.
Its nice seeing a VP actually doing something

Sort of as an aside its interesting to see the US response to Venezuela now.

Calling them "our friends".
It was only 5 months ago that we abducted their president in the middle of the night.
I know Delcy is still in charge and shes still a hardcore commie, but it does seem like she's playing ball.

The operation in Venezuela might have been one of the most successful 'regime change' operations in history.
It's kind of incredible.
People of Venezuela still remember the 80s and 2000s we were always more american influenced than any other country to the chagrim of the Chavista regime, is why i knew there wont be a al-qaida situation like everyone was dooming about because 1 people is not part of a degenerate death cult and 2 nobody likes these fuckers and they would support the US in a heartbeat if they took maduro out, is why the buckbreaking was so painless, people was hoping for it.

He's a young man, it's appropriate he should be doing things. I think that's why a lot of the establishment doesn't like him. He's young, he's sharp, and while the boomers have experience, they are getting frail. He is a threat and people like Schumer and Mitch are afraid of him.

Will anyone mention that foreigners that enter the US don't get a US passport or am I the only one that's not retarded here
I don’t think it’s a passport because there’s an A number there, not a passport number. I don’t know what this document is supposed to be. Some kind of travel permit for permanent residents?

what's happening in south america in general is pretty wild.
argentina, colombia, ecuador, peru and paraguay now all have right leaning governments.
really the only big outlier now is brazil. if it weren't for them, south america would be overwhelmingly conservative.

Searching online there does seem to be an A-number that's actually an alien registration number (i.e. for non-citizens that come in the US to work) but calling it a "New Passport" did break my brain a bit. It could be for that I guess

I find the Theil alogs strange. It's not they don't have points- he is right wing soros lol.

I just find it very Washington Generals coded. The Dems can have all the dark money they want. But the MOMENT the Right gets a patron, suddenly we have to throw the guy under the bus. It's very suspect. The day may come he has to get thrown to the wayside. I don't see much reason not to take his wallet for a ride until that day comes though.
Both of these are quite accurate. Thiel isn't any different than the other tech oligarchs of today that came up during the dotcom bubble. They worked on getting contacts within the government because of the ongoing grifts and influence that could be cultivated, and ultimately became made men as a result of their ceaseless lobbying and ideas on how to insinuate tech into literally every aspect of our lives.

As one commenter here several years ago pointed out, these guys are as big as they are because the government ALLOWS them to be, due to the ongoing investment that glowops like In-Q-Tel and other connected orgs like Greyhawk and BlackRock have made in their companies.

The idea that the GOP should let the Dems continue to tilt the playing field in their own favor by not exploiting right-wing members of the government's version of The Commission is something that the cuckservative Yankee wing of the GOP came to be mocked for by the early 2010s. That such remonstrations are coming back into favor in some areas of the right is an indication that they're trying to make a play to take control of the party back from the populists once Trump's term ends.

If the South Americans can withstand chimping out for long enough then they might actually be able to outcompete Europe. The EU has made it clear that it does not want to participate in the global economy. Let’s sell stuff to South Americans instead.

I agree, but probably not in the way you mean. He is a turbo open-border globalist right-libertarian, whereas Soros is a turbo open-border globalist left-libertarian.

Unless you mean that AND you think that somehow the republicans/GOP can take his money but somehow game it? Which lol

I did think the message was odd for a passport citizens use to go abroad, but that makes sense.

What exactly has happened since Maduro got napped?
Wikipedia says the woman who was Maduro's vice president is now in charge so I'm guessing that means the communists are still in control

People are free to hate Koch but love Thiel, just don't be surprised when his interests don't always align with yours. Billionaires are a political class to themselves.

She is in control but she's reopened ties with the US and US companies are now investing heavily in venezuela to modernize their oil production.
Also their security orgs cooperated with us to assassinate the leader of tren de aragua this happened only a couple of weeks ago
so shes still leftist in name but she's basically doing what we ask her to.
in return US has dropped some sanctions on them and they have access to global markets etc

She allowed US oil companies to partner with their nationalized oil company and is selling their oil on the open market instead of just China. She is a commie, but she is also a coward who knows it is best for her health to be very receptive to any requests the US has of her. She is just warming the seat until the next election and knows it.
