The fact you believe the bullshit you spewed there just shows you’re a brainwashed faggot.

Gabe the Hutt isn’t your saviour and he isn’t trying to “save gaming” or whatever other messianic fantasies you faggots indulge in.

He only fights Microsoft because he wants to have the monopoly on PC gaming, and you fucking lemmings rush to give it to him.

PC gaming faggot race gets what they deserve.
I'm currently playing Dragon's Crown on PS3 on my PC. People gotta separate PC Master Race from being a valve fanboy. I barely use steam, but I do use my computer, and getting to play any game I want (Gen 7 and previous, and inevitably getting closer to Gen 8 every day) for free will always trump any console no matter the era, gabecube included. Time to Emulate.

Every aspect of modern gaming is deserving of criticism, from the jewish pricing to the extremely jewish "rent forever" subscription model. And Green Kitbash is of course correct when he says you don't truly "own" your games on Steam. All this shit from digital only boxes to the subscription model itself is designed to milk the goyim AND remove their property rights. What did the kikes say again? "You Will Own Nothing", that isn't a joke phrase to them, it's their literal plan for everyone. Invest in XHDs, sail the seas, pirate, fuck the corporations, and save as many free games as you can onto those hard drives that cannot be influenced by a lack of payment to some gay shit like Xbox, or Nintendo, or Sony, or Valve. Period.

there's unmistakable diamond pattern in the creases on the skin of the hands which is a dead giveaway of xy chromosomes

i took a closer look at it with high quality those are not rectangles bro

OK expert troon clockers I need an opinion.
The new Steam Machine intro video was just posted and something about the person unboxing the machine screams troon. Maybe it is the man shaped hands, maybe it is the subtle arm hair but I immediately subconsciously noticed something and I am wondering if anyone else picked up on that. I could be completely mistaken so I am calling in the experts. Watch the video.
Hard to get a clean shot but it looks like her ring finger is not longer than her index finger. Not a smoking gun but I'd say just an ugly woman with ugly tattoos.

My thoughts on the great debate.

Fucking AI bubble. We just replaced our 11+ year old household RAID/game/whatever server, and the price difference between 128 Gb of DDR4 and DDR5 was $1,000. Absolutely insane prices right now.

I get why people are unhappy with the SM prices, it really is a lot, especially at 2024/2025 prices. Terrible time to offer a brand new hardware device, but I admire Valve not canceling it because of the unexpected prices.

I’m buying one because I want to support the use of Linux as a gaming platform, because fuck Microsoft and their bullshit.

Gabe is a tech bro and Steam has successfully killed the used market on PC, has restricted consumer rights with purchases and even restricts items on region. I have no idea how Valve got this rep, but man being the lone survivor of the digital store front has worked wonders.
Because at the time steam rolled out shit like SecuROM and games for windows live started being pushed out which were way worse. Steam was the best case scenario. Would buying an EXE with zero DRM directly from the publisher be better? yeah. But they would never agree to that.

Edit: I forgot to mention but you can just straight up do that with many smaller games, even the successful ones that broke steam charts records. Itch.io is right there and you'd be surprised what is available
Also the standardized patches which yes if you are hard-core enough and have the foresight you can rollback, like do I have to give examples of that?
Steam does support multiple versions being easily available form the launcher exactly for this reason. Valve doesn't mandate it but it's the publishers choice not to implement it. Blame the publisher not valve (unless you're talking about the steamworks update, but to be fair they didn't repeat the same mistake twice for the anniversary updates for both half life games)

I really admire that trait of valve, they generally don't just throw shit in the trash, og steam controller is STILL supported even now, and even old steam link still works last I checked. I imagine a lesser company would of entirely cancelled it

Also apparently Apple is also raising prices. Fucking hilarious that people gave valve endless shit, but now everyone raising prices.

Honestly, I wish the gaming industry could just settle down for a while on the idea that it needs to be about pushing the technical bleeding edge. Studios are going bankrupt or doing layoffs after building AAA games for systems that will bankrupt gamers to buy. Who is winning here? The graphical improvements are marginal improvements to the overall experience at this point and innovation in actual game design is largely stagnant.

The only way this thing works over the long term is if big developers develop their games with this level of hardware as the target for the next ten years. Then Valve can slowly drop the price and slowly introduce an incremental improvement and then start doing the apple thing where you build a premium, mid, and budget tier of the device based on rebadging the past models.

Or, if hardware prices keep going to the moon we can just call this whole industry off. But really there has to be a middle ground. The industry has to accept that it will be working with the scraps of the hardware producers, not the latest and greatest. People have found what they think is a productive, profitable use for the RAM. Such investors will always bid more for it than some asshole who wants to use the RAM as a toy. The gaming industry needs to accept living in this world rather than anticipating that the wallets of consumers are bottomless.

$1000 for a console just does not work. Sure, it is a PC so it can do other stuff, but you can do most of that other stuff on a bargain bin laptop or even your phone at this point. At $1000 I want a windows or macos machine so it can be my primary PC too. $1000 for the do-everything computer in the house is fine. $1000 for the thing that plays games that the main PC can already probably play anyway is not.

My situation is I got sick of PC gaming which removed barriers to just getting a Mac. Now my friends want to drag me back into Overwatch so the idea of a small mouse and keyboard console is attractive, but not at $1000. At that point it makes more sense to just replace the Mac with a windows PC, but I like everything about the Mac besides not all games being available so whatever. I just won't give the gaming industry money if they are going to make it difficult.

at a $1000+ the market really shrinks to people who want a small living room computer to do all their multimedia and gaming and dont have other solutions already. i dont know what that number is because im a kiwi and am already an outlier on the tech stuff.
i have a dedicated pc for gaming, nas and plex that i built up over the years. i have old laptops that can plug into the tv and do the same. i assume the rest of us are also outliers with the tech shit too. i have friends who have an xbox or ps5 and no steamdeck or streambox but even if it was $600-700 i don't know if they'd have a use for it.
