I mean, living in pretty much any comic city would be a nightmare. Trying to enjoy your weekend, when bam, Darkseid boom-tubes onto mainstreet with an army of parademons, and the rest of your day off is spent in a bunker while the Justice League throws your car at him.

Especially with how short his skirt/kilt thing is.

I dunno, Central City seems pretty tame since the most dangerous supervillain there just wants to fuck with the local superhero on increasingly petty levels.

I don't think they had robots that can bench-press a truck while also flying and shooting lasers. That, and Vought's specialty is bioengineering and pharmaceuticals, not robotics. They're not Stark Industries or Baktoid Armor Workshop.
You have these things called "construction equipment" which can effortlessly lift tons and doesn't disobey. Check out Supergod by Warren Ellis for an example of how making Supermen IRL can go. Robots can certainly bench-press a truck while also flying and shooting lasers, steel is stronger than muscular tissue but we're operating on comic logic.

Vought doesn't specialize in making them. That's not their forte; their forte, as I said, is bioengineering and pharmaceuticals.

Also, criminals can easily hijack construction equipment.

I spared myself the flagellation of actually watching the Boys and have found this review of the series instead.

So here's the breakdown of the show and why it's so shitty, the first season had actual intrigue and decent writing because one of the writers was Vince Gilligan of Breaking Bad fame, but he left after Season 1 and the other writer, a Jewish man by the name of Eric Kripke, took over. The moment Kripke gets behind the wheel is when the series becomes an unwatchable shitshow of ridiculously cruel and degenerate caricatures of superheroes meant to lampoon right wingers.

Thing is, this sort of writing rings a lot of bells in my head, I remember it from shit like the Walking Dead and Game of Thrones and a lot of other shows that are just hazy fogs in my memory.

I have to ask, are most Jewish people this obnoxious or is this just a Hollywood thing? Are there any Jewish writers that are any good at actually writing or is Jewish writing just a long cascade of open and hostile contempt for audiences?

I know the entire show is full of exploding assholes and other Jewish degeneracy but as an animal lover and someone really into conservation I really disliked the running "gag" of The Deep's sea creature friends being gruesomely mutilated and killed in front of him for no reason at all other than zoosadist shock value.

That's always puzzled me. Why they're so gung-ho to make such disgusting, degenerate content, but God forbid you make something that makes straight men happy. God forbid you make Soldier Boy have morals and decency so that men can rally behind him. God forbid you make Homelander half-redeemable especially given how he's an abuse victim who turned into a feral animal. And yes, as a dog lover, I can see why others might not like the show, especially with how they abuse the Deep by abusing his friends.

They have no problem with a fake actor Jesus acting like a wimp before Homelander, but they're the kind of people who get offended when an anime character looks sexy.

The guys who made Superman are Jewish, and so is Stan Lee of Marvel fame. So there are at least some good Jewish capeshit writers. Too bad none worked in this show.

Just watch clips of Homelander and Soldier Boy being cool or aura farming, and you're good to go.

Season 1 obviously made fun of Disney and the MCU. The later seasons were a bad Trump analogy, to the point where actors like Anthony Starr (Homelander) tried to fight back and remind Kripke that Homelander is not a 1 to 1 analogy for Trump.

Also, lampooning right-wingers by attacking superheroes kinda makes sense, because conservatives who ideally stick to their principles like superhero culture. I've seen enough religious conservative people who like superheroes, so making superheroes into sadistic degenerates to strike at them, it's a crude logic, but one I can understand.

It's just that later generations won't give a shit about Kripke's anti-superhero boner. Especially since most young'uns are manga and anime fans which have positive examples of superheroes. They probably know My Hero Academia or One Punch Man more than they know The Boys, and those two shows have GOOD superheroes running around town and being heroic.

And the irony is, those shows have governments that regulate the superheroes; they're more realistic and more lived-in than the world of the Boys. Even Garth Ennis' comic looks like shit compared to OPM and MHA's world where the governments actually make sure you can't just do superhero vigilantism on your own.

Thing is, this sort of writing rings a lot of bells in my head, I remember it from shit like the Walking Dead and Game of Thrones and a lot of other shows that are just hazy fogs in my memory.
Game of Thrones died because the writers wanted to do Star Wars. The Walking Dead went on for too long before someone put it out of its misery.

The Boys was done in by internal sabotage; by someone who wanted to focus more on shitting on Trump rather than telling a good story with superheroes/supervillains, which is something Season 1 tried to do.

Same feeling I got over the "joke" if Butcher's dog wanting to fuck Homelander.

Like a Furfag wrote this.
The weird thing is the running animal torture gore "joke" isn't in the comics. It's something added to the show as if the source material wasn't degenerate enough.

I assume the only reason it exists is Kripke or someone else on the production team jerks off to zoosadist shit.

Don't mess with Hollywood Jews, They've never read the Torah!
Ironically, their attitude is what invited the judgement from the Assyrians and Babylonians.

They feel free adding the kind of thing that only sick people jack off to. I mean, if MM getting a full-facial blast of splooge didn't convince you already, the writers have a lot of kinks they're working through with the show.

So I've intentionally avoided reading anything in this thread since the first episode dropped and have only now just finished watching season five. And I scrolled past every other post so apologies if I cover anything already said in this thread.

...Might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm fine with that ending. Nothing special, but it was fine. It ended the fight between Butcher and Homelander the way I wanted it. Not quite, I still think Butcher should have keeled over after the fight after his lesions overpowered him, but at least the end was just two regular dudes duking it out. As for the season, it undid some of the problems I had with four. Not everything, but Sage wasn't infallible, Hughie was allowed to be more than a joke, Starlight got called out for being a cunt, and for the most part the deaths didn't feel cheap.

My main issue is the fact that the franchise is clearly going to continue afterwards, they kept a lot of open threads so the story can continue. I feel like The Deep should have gotten the redemption arc instead of Firecracker considering he's the one we've been with the entire show but he's the symbol for the manosphere so we can't have him living. Ashley redeeming herself but still getting arrested was funny, and a satisfying conclusion considering all the shit she did. Ryan going with MM instead of Hughie and Annie wasn't what I expected but at least MM got his family back.

Also, the reveal that Soldier Boy was in love with Stormfront just came out of nowhere, considering in season 3 he barely acknowledged her and was more focused on Crimson Countess but whatever. They didn't try to undo what made people like him in season 3, though they did tone him down a little. I do find it funny that as soon as Sister Sage lost her smarts she became a complete moron. An interesting take on the average black woman you have there, Kripke.

But yeah, I'm okay with that ending. When I go back and reread the thread, I'll probably see shit that makes me rethink my stance but this wasn't Game of Thrones, I'll probably rewatch all five seasons and skip Gen Vee one day. And I doubt I'll watch any of the spin offs.

Gentleman, I await your disagrees, dislikes, and dumb ratings.

"Nothing special" is a big part of why there was such backlash, though. The constant teasing of Homelander losing it, the Scorched Earth advertising, imagery of him floating above decimated cities...

Turns out all that budget they saved was just for the sake of being cheap, rather than actually leading up to anything. Lot more people would have tolerated a mediocre season if there was a pay-off, but it was just self-congratulating wankery that lead to a dull finish. It made a clash of super heroes *boring*.

On the bright side, it seems to have absolutely shattered Redditors' tolerance of all the other poor writing. In the aftermath of the final episode I saw a complete disintegration of the "you're just made it's mocking you" cope, and a ton of the messaging hypocrisy being questioned. There were even a couple of dangerous thinkers getting very close to asking why a show lampooning the rich and powerful never once dared mention their devotion to Israel...
