Yeah this infighting won't end well.

To be sorta fair, the GOP is quite skilled at snatching defeat from the claws of victory. I like that the GOP is more behind Trump this time around than his first term, but Democrat whips are historically very good at their jobs. The socialist types gaining momentum is a double-edged sword: it could mean they run a George McGovern and get a 1972 result, or they could actually win, in which case we're royally fucked. My hope is the former: the socialist wing of the Democrats gain control of the party, run some deranged candidate in 2028, and someone like JD Vance gets the GOP ticket with a blowout electoral victory.

Nixon's 1972 victory was one of the reasons the Democrats went after him so hard and stuck the Watergate thing on him: they could not fucking stand how badly they lost in 1972. Bring up the 1972 election to a Democrat and they'll only talk about Watergate, rather than the electoral map.



Fun fact: literally every president spies on their political opponents. JFK did it. LBJ did it. FDR did it. Obama did it. It's nothing new. Nixon just got caught at it.

Yes but Democrats cheat. They will keep cheating and often get away with it due to these judges. The supreme court itself is currently not releasing the birthright citizenship ruling, because the liberal justices are purposefully holding up the process to make it more difficult for states to legally take action in a timely manner after the ruling.

He fixed up 100,000 potholes and secured $1.2 billion for childcare. He’s claimed that he reduced the budget deficit from $12 billion to $0, but that mostly involved shifting around existing funds and getting support from the state government.

Seems to be an effective leader so far. He’s building up political credibility on the Left and in New York to support future political prospect, which would be the goal.

I'm assuming you're a NYer. Dude absolutely not. He's doing nothing but smiling and waving. Adams was ineffective. Mamdami is shaping up to be another Bill de Blasio. Since the 1970s it is required by law that NYC balance it's budget, as to prevent the near bankruptcy of nyc that occurred then, he has done this by taking money from other parts of the city and also the pension system (that's a second thing I'll get to).

Most of the money he has taken is from emergency services and police and the cities larger pension system. While at the same time fucking over the pension system by removing israeli investments despite them being financially sound because of nonsense politics. This will never effect the DSA voters because they don't rely on the pension for their future survival, they have mom and Dad's money back in ohio for that. Hate crimes are up and they aren't "bad words" they're mostly abuse and attacks directed at Jews and Christians in the streets (but mostly Jews). The DA does fuck all because he doesn't want to put people in prison because"that's racist" while black mothers are begging for them to go to jail. NYC has always been a mess but this isn't a case of "the browns taking over the whites" this is a case of the "rich liberal whites and rich liberal browns and Islamicst muslims destroying EVERYTHING that isn't them". I've had to give signed statements for openly Jewish and Christian colleges because they were falsely accused because they were conservative (the Christian had a tattoo like pete hegseth does). I apologize if I'm soapboxing but I'm trying to paint a picture on what the ground looks like.


And on the pothole front? Yeah maybe in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn but come to the outer boroughs were most people live and you will see that's not true at all. He's not the mayor for new yorkers he's the mayor for people who like like pretend they're new yorkers.

It's a facade. He's not effective the rest of ny state (who actually controls his budget) despises him. They want to see him sink. Look an NY knicks victory and the world cup is nice but nyc isn't alphabet city and Bushwick, and outside of that the city isn't doing so well. Congratulations NYC is blue but everything outside that will be a deep deep red (or dems who will play ball with Republicans).

I think it's important to differentiate what TYPES of Hispanics are leaning towards Republican, because not all of them are, and theres like a bajillion different types of Hispanic.
