The "my grandson is a fool" scene is absolutely top five acting scenes of the whole franchise, imo. From him calling the King a fool and the very end when he realizes his mistake. Masterclass of acting.

None of the women of the cast have done anything remotely similar. Cersei and Dany had their share of good scenes, but neither the alleged protagonists of the story have shown anything justifying being the protagonists.
Otto grudgingly admitting he respected Viserys and was the closest thing he had to a “friend” is probably the scene of the S2 and Rhys Ifans showing that drunken limey he may be but holy shit is he up there with Charles Dance in carrying mid material, same with Paddy in S1.

The other scene I like is Aemond thot-patrolling his mother and kicking her off the council/repaying the neglect. Just funny, both actors were great. Show excels when it’s allowed to, with small one on one exchanges.

unlike the first show, they couldn't even wait for season 4 to start going full retard. just from the outset, doing everything wrong. making the cuck a black guy was funny but doesn't justify making them all brown, and also takes away from the possibility of slutnyra's kids not being bastards, and it all being a smear campaign.
then they wrote out the one brown character and replaced her plot with daemon's daughter. maybe she'll replace her as his cocksleeve too? the writers clearly aren't afraid of that, after the first episode of season 3.
Anyway I hope the big guy's dragon, Vermithor, gets some good scenes, since they're gonna fuck everything else.
it's a stage play, whatever, theaterfags are always doing retarded shit. and doing it for fun, more likely than not.

...but doesn't justify making them all brown
Half of the first dozen characters to have spoken lines in the first episode were niggers. You would think based on this episode that 80% of Westeros were spear chuckers. And they did the same thing as in earlier seasons where the camera lingers on any racial mongrel character for several seconds to make absolute sure that the viewers are aware of the representation.

What’s funny is they could have actually included a Bantu spear chucker in season 1 of GOT as there was an exiled prince from the summer isles that was trying to petition Robert Baratheon to lead a campaign there.

And then Cersei has the Kettleblacks accuse Margaery of being his BBC Slvt when the faith locks her up, pure HBO.

The acting is just all over the fucking place and getting worse each season, almost exclusively by the actresses.

It's always been a thing in film school / theater that you had to coddle the actresses while crucifying the men, and starting around a decade ago people started asking real questions for why actresses in movies just fucking suck compared to actors, but articles quickly made excuses for it that you can't expect women to be good because that's sexist, but this season is just too much.

Rhaena and Baela have had 4-5 years now to get their Disney / stage acting fixed but here we are with them riding dragons in battle and sounding ridiculous.

Not only was Olivia Cooke's line delivery in this scene horrible and unconvincing but she's repeatedly holding her head sideways like some weird toad. Neither the director nor cinematographer felt comfortable enough telling her to cut this shit out while they were filming?

Then again, how could they when Condal is the showrunner and won't stand up to it himself.

It's so disappointing - Rhaenyra finding out that Aegon stole her crown should have been the most explosive moment of the show. In the book iirc she's cursing and screaming throughout Dragonstone while in labour (to an alleged demon baby) and vowing revenge, true crashout drama Queen style, but in the show she just weepily delivers a stillborn. Helaena/Blood and Cheese is supposed to be her begging for her children's lives and offering hers instead, instead they made her a turbo-autist unable to emote and she meekly offers a necklace instead of her own life. Even a lot of book Alicent's schemeing felt so dumbed down in S1, and now she's just a pawn again.
Iirc the show also cut a different scene/take of Aegon finding out Jaeherys was dead, the actor said it was a very emotional and dramatic moment, and it was cut. The small council scene was good but you get the feeling Tom wasn't happy about the direction for Aegon. I feel so bad for the actors in a way because AkotSK had crazy social media hype, tons of fanart and edits, everyone loved it, and I haven't seen a single post for HoTD3 without searching for it.

The show writers also have some weird mother/son incest issue holy shit. The Targs never did parent/child incest, but I guess Ryan thinks the incest family has no limits so they gave us Daemon/his mother weird dream scene, Alicent and Aemond now, and even hinted at Alicent/Aegon issues with that woman in s1. Its so weird.

It's amazing how much they talk about how they portray strong women and how the queen isn't supposed to be pretty, but they then believe this

Is a better example of that then this

im just really glad it seems were going to avoid seed planting for rhaneyra to believe Daemons sleeping with his own daughter as the reason she orders her executed for treason

and instead will just go with shes the reason her first born son is dead.

I very much believe the writers will try to weasel out of Rhaenyra condemning her but we'll just have to see.

I will take my licks; all optimism for this shit show has gone. The actress of the bug-eyed Debra Wilson, looking bitch is so awful. The episode kept focusing on that mongoloic looking thing and the troon. It was fucking unbearable.

I have this tick where, if I am angry, I will groan angrily. I fucking groaned in the first frame, my other half was laughing because she knows how much I hate the black child actor.

I did not know Westeros had so many niggas, because in 80 years the only ones left are fucking pirates and the Unsullied. I don't include Missandei's actress was good, and the show's differences were not too bad, except for the Grey Worm plotline. I understand that it was not to work with child actors.

They actually had to cut the character Nettles because they didn't want yet another black teen actress.
Not that Nettles is supposed to be black.
GRRM has been very consistent with making the distinction between brown dornishmen and Ghiscari and black Summer Islanders.
The fanbase also understood this until 2020 and all the BLM bullshit, with pre 2019 fanart of Nettles

Just watched it last night, I like Sheepstealer's weird fuckass design. Giving a wild dragon an underbite is just brilliant if you ask me.

Allicent has replaced Raenyra as the reigning champion of "oh my god I don't care" scenes because every scene with her is the same. She makes that same wide eyed face and whisper cries to the people around her. I think they made a mistake making her scenes so dramatic to begin with because now she maintains the same emotional level in every scene she's in.

The naval battle was pretty cool, I like that we get genuine tactics like we used to and it isn't just beauty shots of dragons for the entire thing. I feel very bad for the Sea Snake's first mate, because his actor is giving it his all but I can't unhear Fat Albert's voice when he's yelling commands at his men.

I guess Tyland is going to survive the battle on the ships? Idk what the hell the point of all that was if they're just going to kill him off, or if he doesn't even die then what in the hell was the point of him being there in the first place. It's like if he doesn't even die or impact the plot why have him there in the first place? This series keeps making decisions I don't understand. We don't need him there to know the Triarchy is bad news.

The editing was just a mess in the recent episode, but Alicent in the book is barely in it. They clearly do not know how to write for her and need to keep her til she an-heroes.

I long for Matt Smith scenes because he is a pretty good Daemon, and they are OK with him being such a morally grey character.

Hugh Hammer, and Ulf
I'm eagerly awaiting the disaster that is going to be Hugh Hammer. Who was yet another shitbag prick in Fire & Blood, but is an honorable fambly man in the show. I haven't watched the season premiere yet so I don't know if they did anything to plant the seeds for his heel turn. They'll probably keep him a Good Guy who gets betrayed by Ulf during the First Battle of Tumbleton, instead of him and Ulf both betraying Rhaenyra, and then both being killed by the Caltrops before the second battle

Blood and Cheese was supposed to be the 'Red Wedding' of HOTD. Helaena, who is clearly written to be autistic, still should have been the focus of that scene as she struggled to pick which child to sacrifice. You can still do that in the context of an autistic person. This is the problem of Maelor not being involved; if she had to choose between outing Jaehaerys from his twin or Maelor, who, in the animated short was described as 'too young to understand what was happening', it would have been far more dramatic. They botched the entire thing.

Nettles has always been dark-skinned, as seen from this animated short that was released from the earlier seasons of GOT. They could have just hired an adult actress to play her to get rid of the 'ick' of her sleeping with Daemon.

They fucking made Toobs out to be this badass pirate girlboss when all their scenes were cringey as fuck. Did Toobs bribe HBO to insert his OC badass character that just wastes time and basically hands the battle over to the Blacks? What was this trannies masterplan after he killed the Sea Snake his fleet is still in ruins, the Blacks dragons are still alive, their temporary allies the Lannisters are now dead (that was Lokar's fault the tranny pushed em overboard), you can't get to High Tide if you have no ship, etc etc? Well the only thing Toobs accomplished was indirectly killing Jace I guess and sort of Corlys and Ty Lannister I suppose? Oh but the Sea Snake and Lannister survived apparently and Jace died well after you, fucking tranny dipshit. Well glad that character was introduced last season to just 41 percent themselves in the beginning of S3 I guess? Fucking hell you died to a raging nigga too like wtf was your masterplan?
