Well there are things all of the heads of the uniparty hydra agree on, like taking away your online privacy in the name of "protecting children" and preventing laws that restrict voting to American citizens only. Good amendments people actually want though? Not happening in this lifetime.

Good. That's not a protest, that's vandalism at best. And this is peak tourism season in DC so they basically ruined a national monument out of sheer partisan spite. I don't give a hoot in hell if it was 14 million wasted, which is a drop in the bucket everything considered. You simply cannot put a price on the memories and shared experiences of seeing Washington D.C.

This is 100% wrong and the current government of Lebanon and the populace have wanted them out for a while. They just haven't had the muscle to do anything about it until relatively recently so it was suicidal.
That's true. Congressional gridlock was a design choice to an extent. I guess I'm just always amazed how many amendments got ratified in the 20th century compared to none in the 21st. Not a comment on the quality of those amendments because there's a plethora of very bad ones. And one so bad it got overwritten a bit more than a decade later.
