There's plenty of ideological diversity on this site, with threads where people can find left-wing opinions and settle in there. Christ, there's an entire thread specifically set aside for female Kiwis to complain about all the stupid shit men do, on a male-dominated site.
The problem isn't the lack of diversity, the problem is that KF is one of the very few places on the internet that hasn't brigaded the right into oblivion. Twitter would still be the same shadow-banning shithole that it was from 2017-2022 if Musk hadn't bought it, and that's mainly because he got buyer's remorse from allowing himself to get jawboned into letting his son troon out.
The left's primarily problem with the site isn't that it exists, it's that it isn't another Reddit or Something Awful.
