It's a bit more confused than that. I have consistently supported a split congress with whoever looks better on top as president. I mean that literally, I want an attractive figurehead that does nothing as president. It's not gay, it's just ideal. Getting a party to sweep is my worst outcome possible, always. I feel like if Dems win both house and senate now, they are locked in for all 3 in 2028, which would also be disastrous for the country. I would rather they flip the house and lose the senate (making it much more difficult to flip it in 2028 due to seat projections). Also just in general that split helps with watering down shit legislation (i.e. digital IDs, surveillance etc etc) as both parties have to give up on maximalist demands that rape us the most. Of course it still means the uniparty stuff goes through business as usual, so I get raped there, but at least it's not as bad.
I wouldn't say they're remotely wild predictions though, I would say democrats have the house near-locked and senate is going to flip to being purely adversarial to Trump at this point after he keeps mounting challenges to people that are currently in it for total cope legislation that will never pass (i.e. SAVE America act). And he keeps asking to kill the fillibuster over it, too, which if you think the dems would always rape you for not being Mao, you would be raped 10x worse in that case.
