What was China's deal?
To be fair china did made the first guns wich were more akin to hand cannons, Europeans refined the model and the rest is history.

I think it's unfair to say China just used gunpowder to spook off ghosts. That was the original intent, but they did have legit hand canons and early grenades and flaming rocket bombs. Even the Brits used similar flaming gunpowder naval rockets until.. Hell, the 'rockets red glare' in the civil war were still those.

The Euros big move on them were the matchlocks and wheellocks. The concept of a longer barrel to mount on shoulder and actually aim seemed to take a long time to get to and eluded the Chinese for ages for some reason. It also took the Euros a really long time to go from smooth barrel to rifled paper cartridges, then it jumped really fast to self contained primer-brass in 50 years. It's always odd how some tech lingers around so long in primitive way, then suddenly takes off in an area and spreads all over so fast.

At least with the Asian sperging I have new arguments to read instead of the same boring talking points that have been beaten into the dirt.
Give it a few dozen pages, it won't take long before the bland taste of jewsperging is replicated within the novel asiansperging.

What? Yes they did. They were blasting each other with cannons in the 13th century.

Europeans invented the matchlock, not the gun.
It is interesting to think of, if the Romans had managed to mix sulfur, urea, and charcoal what they could've done with explosive artillery. The first, I suppose, semi realistic Roman artillery battle that I saw was in the opening of Gladiator. It was mostly just catapults and the rope wind up giant ballistas that would clear out a nice areas but were mostly quiet.

Imagine if they had the banging and direct canons. Then again, canons never really were a truly good weapon until ww1 style artillery with explosive warheads. Pre-1900 canons even against old school walls were usually wiped out before much damage was done. Then the M65 canon beat em all in the end, but didn't last long either.

So is Buddhism and especially Taoism which is based on 'if it is it is'. Eastern religion and philosophy in general disregard technical advancing in general. They're like a bunch of anti-AI luddites that complain about things and want to stay in the past. I know people here hate the term but Judeo-Christianism has some backwards ingrained thinking or had, but is also open to more. islam had some opening for awhile but also a hard limit of the backwards.

This isn't true at all. Artillery has been a decisive feature of warfare for centuries.
Not to the scale as general infinitary rushes. You have Napoleon and so forth that used them, but give me some links to more than a few battles where land based gunpowder based artillery were a primary factor pre 1900s. Much less entire wars.

Well, Qin Shi Huang was a Jew.

The US Revolution for one. Henry Knox securing artillery from the English was the the turning point for the Americans to stymie the redcoats from just steamrolling across New England. Add in the fact that control of the Hudson was a major issue because otherwise the English could just sail up the center of the country and bombard cities with their artillery.

Hell, a quickly acquired expertise in artillery is how we know who Alexander Hamilton is at all.
