So I booted up Windows 11 recently and thumbnails for multiple file types are broken. File Explorer is broken and freezes every time I try to browse my Documents or Pictures folder. Disk Cleanup hangs when trying to delete the thumbnail cache.

Edit: problem seems to be gone after restart, but I still don't see why a basic Windows feature glitched up like that.

I fucking hate Windows / Microsoft and the ecosystem around it:

• Docker Desktop takes an age to start up.
• Deleting a folder with a lot of small items takes like 30 minutes even when doing it from PowerShell because they haven't updated their archaic filesystem in probably 30 years. In macOS / Linux / BSD this takes like seconds.
• SSO sign-ins are broken in <other browsers> but work in Edge.
• Password expiry notification, even though there is no expiry set on my account.
• The laptop comes with bloatware that is tied to shit stuff that updates the firmware. Fuck you whoever decided that.
