The dudes greatest strength was that he brought genuine enthusiasm to a lot of the stuff he did. Even when it was stupid he brought some energy to it that would make it kind of fun. Of course, I don't know if its there anymore, the depression and shit, its entirely likely he is a husk of what he used to be.

When you're a sad sack of shit that refuses to help yourself other people eventually give up on you, even if they would like to offer support. Which is why I also think Miles must certaintly feel that Noah is a burden he's stuck tard wrangling to a large extent. When he was in Chicago, or close by enough, he was welcome to spend time with Doug or Brad. They had open invitations for him but Spoony just couldn't muster up the desire to actually DO anything about it.

I do think it is still there to an extent, but it doesn't have anything even resembling a healthy outlet anymore.
