A progressive revolt is something I was anticipating, and am a bit disappointed I haven't really seen signs of.
This sort of infighting is really bad for the Dems right now. The Progressives are really uppity. They conned their way into running Kamala's campaign(or were the only people in the party willing to be associated with it) and they truly believe they only lost for not going Woke enough.
They are ballot poison to the center currently. And the big money is pissed at how they wasted their money in 2024.
The analyst have been telling the party they need to pull hard to the center. You see it in candidates like Newsom, who is trying to rehabilitate his image, and Tallarico, who is complaining about Paxton using his own woke statements against him. Not to mention all the candidates that are running extremely moderate, and pivoting to hard left as soon as the oath is sworn, like in Virginia.
The larger the overall spread of the party is Progressive, the worst it is for them in November. It will suppress their turn out(which could be devastating depending on how much fraud gets cleaned up) and push Independents to the right. They'd actually be better off if it was a Presidential election year because they could hide it all behind an affable sheep in wolf's clothing candidate like Mark Kelly.
