Anthropic, peddlers of the Claude AI platform, have disabled access to their Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models in response to a supposed export control directive by the United States Government which requires Anthropic to not allow any foreign national, within the US or otherwise and including any foreign national employees at Anthropic, to use Fable or Mythos.
EDIT: I will add that the Anthropic press release itself is the only source of this directive. It could be Dario Amodei trying to hype up his models, since for the longest time Mythos was being touted as unsafe in the hands of the general public.

So this is the start of the AI bubble popping. If they can't allow access to their latest models and the models themselves are nerfed, whats the point? OpenAI and Anthropic just started a price war this week. Its not sustainable anymore. Data centers are getting wacked this election season anyway. Maybe its not a good idea to bet the entire US stock market on a few tech stocks. At least FANGG had some lasting power and scaleability.

I'm not keeping track of the economics of it all but to me it seems that the high-water mark of the AI craze will be when OpenAI and Anthropic go on the stock market. After that we'll see what happens.

This is just some libtard pilot trying to stop the event. They should be flying on instruments at night making this (assuming it even happened) a nonissue.
Also is his wealth really that much or is it artificially inflated though accounting black magic to make his companies worth more than they actually are?
It's mostly market manipulation by living in the gray area between fraud and hype. With SpaceX, the exchange changed its rules so it could get listed on key indices on Day 1, which forces index funds to buy it.
