No that wasnt the argument. The argument was that they dont take any actions to prevent children watching it. Adult swim had an announcement before switching over to let parents know. Thats the minimum good faith standard along with a clear age rating for the video. Its similar to the Spiderman Elsa videos that tarketed kids in the same way.

The only way you're gonna "guarantee" that with an Internet cartoon is sweeping draconian control over what people can do online and I really, REALLY do not want to live in that kind of future the megacorps and politicians are pushing for.

If you don't want kids to watch shit on the Internet then just parent and monitor them in that kind of way.

Those never went away and people still make fun of how awful "youtube kids" is because it's filled with that shit and cocomelon on top of falsely auto-flagged clips of adult cartoons like fritz the cat.

But yeah, if anything, spiderman elsa type shit has gotten so much worse the last few years. Dgital circus and other popular Internet shit gets sucked into it frequently as well.

Good faith means what they could resonably do. I dont think anything besides giving a short warning somewhere visable near the start of a YouTube video is reasonable. Stop imagining arguments and getting mad at fake conflicts.

I believe he made millions off the contract, the YouTube ads (kids are too fucking stupid to just use brave browser) alone pumped millions of dollars into production on just the pilot episode alone, nevermind the following episodes where production quality is noticeably higher. If he did opt for the salary or had no choice then he is shit outta luck but the way Cooper became dismissive and didnt give a shit towards the end tells me hes already made his millions and checked out leaving glitch to deal with the autistic piracy mess of the final episode/movie.

Id imagine this is how chris chan would treat the whole thing if he were ever in power over any kind of production from pilot to epilogue, at least Cooper put serious effort and cared about what he put into TADC at the beginning.

I mean sonichu originally "ended" with him violently executing the asperpedia and putting his "pure blood" into the virginia water supply to get rid of homosexuality forever so that's kinda more eventful than whatever the hell we got here.

I think this if anything goes to show drilling yourself in the head is not gonna give you good ideas.
 
Speaking as a longtime Gooseworx fan (which I'm guessing there are very few of here) his popularity still feels completely unbelievable to me. I remember getting legitimately hyped over Elain Gets Adopted, which is still my favorite of his cartoons he's made. It was the first animation he ever actually storyboarded and I can tell to this day while watching it it's the only thing he's ever created that had a cohesive narrative vision behind the character designs and wacky nonsense where he wasn't just making it up as he goes.
None of it was ever reinventing the wheel, but it was endearing at the time. Then came The Darly Boxman Show (Mediocre random access humor slop), then glitch came to him offering a full studio budget to make a show, he came up with TADC literally just on the spot, and it became more popular than every other YouTube animated series combined overnight. It came out of literally fucking nowhere.
I never liked it. I look at TADC and see not just wasted potential as a show, but wasted creative potential on a person. It's really fascinating to me as someone who's been following him for a long time to see a shitload of people's modern perspective on him as just some overrated creepy autistic tranny, because I've always viewed him as person and this fucked up sexuality of his is something I'm just now learning about.

And just for fun to prove how far back my knowledge goes of this guy, the last thing of his I was seriously excited for was Talk to Michael RPG which hasn't even been mentioned in this thread yet. I'm still a little sad it will never come out.

I agree. Mostly because trans people can't for even 2 seconds shut up about being trans and Gooseworx isn't an exception.
Vegans and trans people are pretty much the same.

Have lunch with a vegan and see if they can't shut up about how they're vegan for 20 minutes as they tell you, "I'm not like those vegans who bully others to become vegan too, but you do know there are vegan options on the menu.... right....?" as they eye your food in disgust.
Have a conversation with a transwoman online and see if they can't shut up about some aspect about being a transwoman for even 20 minutes. They can't.

I doubt Gooseworx can create anything that doesn't feature a half dozen of his fetishes plus his most favorite self-insert characters not being an allegory to being trans. Any normal author writing a character like Jax, yes, it's very likely the character is not trans and he was blushing at Ribbit with a bow on his ear because it was an intimate, sweet moment. But with Gooseworx creating and writing the character, Jax is infected with it. Like an oozing wound filled with pus.
