for what it's worth. goose notably dislikes what became of digital circus and seems to be disappointed in/resent the fanbase because of how rabid they've acted over the years. for example, they obsessively tried to run a cringe "smear campaign" against her by convicting her of evil racisms and misogynies by using clearly fake screenies and harassing the whole internet with them.
The problem with gooseworks isn't the transgenderism: that's a symptom of the problem. The problem with Cooper is autism/aspergers and a runaway libido due to it. Paraphilia disorders seem to occur in about 24% of all autistic males and autistic people are more likely to be hypersexual than the average population. His crippling failure at accepting criticism and crumpling over? Likely part of Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria combined with anxiety and stress from working on the show, all poorly maintained because he just was so focused on his work. His problems with women aren't due to autism, but there's a great chance he never addressed it in a healthy fashion because he was too happy enabling himself with other sexual deviants who accepted him unconditionally online, people who had the same weird behavior and patterns he does. So something that is very hard for autistic people to give up because it's harder for them to make friends.

Cooper would benefit more from getting therapy for both sexual paraphilia (no matter how unsuccessful it may be) and just as important, therapy to manage a high stress job as someone who has autism. Ideally, he confronts the part that goes "OMG I LOVE SEEING FOIDS HURRRRRT" too, but just getting the paraphilia/sexual addiction therapy and internet detox could help a lot.
Cooper can be a successful human being. But being in the animation industry might not be right for him. He might be happier focusing on music and having a nice supportive group of friends IRL who keep him from hanging on the net 24/7 with addiction of attention and porn.

Glad there's a thread about this. The show and the music are mid to okay and good respectively, but never have I seen a creator so unprepared to become a mainstream public creator. He didn't even get "harassed" off Reddit, a couple months ago there was a whole ordeal made when after goose (who a year ago said that every character would get an episode, and in the pilot it was implied there was going to be a split a/b history structure or at least every character would get it's due) said that the show was about the bland female mc and the troon, other characters (of a show with 7 characters) were secondary (some even less) and it made people mad, so he came to the subreddit (which is full of butt kissers) and in a post of 200+ comments, singled some guy criticizing the characters screen times, (being that the first 4/9 episodes didn't present the troon rabbit as mc) and answered with "don't you think ragatha will get some development before the show ends? (She didn't, nobody did basically)
People were obviously mad, but argued mostly well behavedly, but she deleted her account and I think apologized a couple days after this ( badly must I add, it was obvious he was salty that people were asking about their favorite characters and not the purple troon but he couldn't, she didn't even address the subreddit (which was again not as bad as it can get with these types of shows, he blamed feeling burned out and moved on, ever since then the fandom has been a constant"walking on eggshells over negativity), he should've been a wake up call about PR but no, being a unfunny shitposter is more important, but ever since then, the fandom behaves like a coddling mother historically nagging her husband when he asks the kids to do any type of work around the house.
The point is, the fandom is a faggot (like literally, if it was a person, it would be a faggot), goose is a manchild, that while a good composer and up until a point, a serviceable writer, should stop using social media or get off the creator space if he can't handle the obvious heat of making that type of wokey, teen/YA content will bring.

Honestly I wonder if Goose is less so hypersexual and more so hyper over sharing? The parasocial/needing attention in that way also causes a lot of trouble. You can tell Goose does enjoy the notoriety sometimes, but only in moderation and in controlable ways. It's less asking Cooper to stop creating and more to leave himself away from the hard stress of upper level things. It's not a bad thing, it just means Cooper isn't attuned to it. Most normal people aren't. It sucks to see it in real time, but damn.

The other thing: hating women and self insertion. This is something Goose needed to take to fucking therapy. The execution what Goose wanted to show fucked up and failed. If female characters had more development and screentime, I could possibly excuse the fumbling of the trans metaphor, but damn, it is clear Goose cares about his explict self inserts & the rest are more of an afterthought. The tweets about gender do not help and also paint a negative light on things. Poor fucking Pomni is explictly stated as a main character alongside Jax, but what's her character arc? What's her development? God, this show needed a couple more months to add another draft or two on scripts.

The same thing happened to the creator of Helluva Boss: if she just shut the fuck up, no one would know or care about her bullshit. I think the main difference would be that shoving his fetishes in a very adult show would be funny, but not really immoral. Shoving them in a show he knows kids watch is questionable, and I think he knows he WANTS adults watching TADC. The problem is… He’s stunted, I’m stunted, everyone who likes TADC is stunted. Cooper's problems are many, but like all trannies the unwillingness to live a messy but authentic life over the illusion of a mirror of perfection is core. You ever watch a comedian who clearly did his homework, like he has a good stage presence, line delivery, etc. So you think "this is going to be good!" but you sit there, waiting and waiting for it to get funny and it just never happens?
That's how I felt when I watched the first two episodes of this show. I didn't know anything about Gooseworx, I just thought it was cool that there was an independent 3DCG show coming and its style reminded me a lot of pre-rendered visuals from 90s point and click games and movies like the original Toy Story. Nostalgic af.
Then I watched it and... it just never really hit. Its not kid friendly, but it never really engages with the darker more adult topics in a meaningful or humorous way. I mean there's even kid movies like The Iron Giant that approach heavy topics in a way that adults can appreciate. TADC wasn't offensive to me, honest I'd rather it was. It was just very lukewarm and boring.
We can go on all day about a troon's deviant, insane, and all around lulzy behavior. But what TADC reminds me is that troons are extremely disappointing. Gooseworx clearly has talent in the way of art and 3DCG animation, but he's just too autistic, too self-centered, and too much of a gooner to make anything worthwhile of it.
