To the surprise of almost no one, Karen Bass seems poised to win the mayor's race without even a run off. With 68% of the vote counted, after 4 days, she now has 43% of the total vote and given that 90% of the ballots coming in are for her it's very likely she will get the 50% needed to win the race by the end of the week,

It's...odd, that all the votes coming in go for Bass at a 10 to 1 ratio. Time and time again Democratic candidate edge out their Republican rivals weeks after election night because all the mail in ballots are 10 to 1 Democrat. Yes, odd.

I'm sure it's just pure coincidence, there's absolutely nothing malicious or underhanded going on just because in each block of 50k votes Bass wins 49,990 of them.

Nope, perfectly normal election behavior right there. No reason to be suspicious at all.

Perfectly normal in every way.

"Say it loud, and make it true, HSI, we’re watching you!” chanted attendees of tonight’s “Dykes Against ICE” march in Washington DC, where federal agents continue to surge since their arrival a year again.

“CBP, we’re watching you!”

“Oink, oink, piggy, piggy, we don’t want you in our city!”

I've never taken a bus but I'm curious what it even costs to ride a bus for any appreciable distance.
are you a normal person who wants to easily go from point A to point B? it’s more expensive than will ever be worth it if you’re a responsible member of society with any amount of resources

are you a scummy mongrel who does nothing but cause problems for other people?

The state gives free bus fare to state parks and other events if your on EBT.
the niggers and homeless where getting on with out paying the fares.
free

public transportation will never, ever make sense expect for the worst of society as long as the Democrats are in charge of it

I've never taken a bus but I'm curious what it even costs to ride a bus for any appreciable distance.
So there are two types of busses, general public transit busses that serve a local municipality, and stuff like Greyhound which handle long-distance passengers on a point A to point B basis. Generally speaking a bus ride on Greyhound is a bit less expensive than air travel (though not by much.) Its also much slower as one can imagine and comes with its own limitations.

Generally speaking you have a terminal for the municipality and a bunch of connecting stops that might in certain places overlap with another municipal bus route. One can, depending on local factors then plot out a day plan to travel some distance on municipal busses (Within a few counties) for maybe a few bucks for each on-boarding as its heavily subsidized but for anything beyond that you're paying a premium to ride on a passenger bus (Which to be fair is much better in comfort and amenities than public service busses. The shock absorbers are usually way better too))

That's sort of why Greyhound can remain relevant. They're price-competitive with planes, and while slower, also more leisurely, as in not being crammed into an aluminium cattle car. You also don't have to go through airport security.
