Mormon hands typed the above comment.
Mountain Jews would be like 90% less MATI if they could enjoy the sweet Nectar of the Gods that is RC Cola.
I wish that Fat Electrician did a video concerning this whole thing rather than Donut Operator. FA would at least have delved into the dark side of collectibles. Donut's video is just meatheads in the comments saying stuff like "hur dur plastic toys," and such. Or maybe FA is waiting for this all to clear so that he can put something together that encompasses the entire drama.
I feel reasonably certain the chubby electron wrangler is putting together a new three-ring binder. He out-Kiwis even the best Kiwis, ngl.

RC Cola is not banned by Mormons. Hot drinks are.
They don't drink colas either, as they consider all caffeinated or carbonated beverages as "hot drinks". They're a hilarious inversion of Jews with their dietary laws, where they actively go out of their way to autisticly follow the SPIRIT of their laws instead of the strict LETTER of their laws.

Those give me very heavy Linkara vibes, its like he didnt get the memo that skit based interludes have been a dead and buried meme since like 2013
Nah they can be good as long as you do it the AVGN way and not the Nostalgia Critic way. I fucking love the golden age AVGN skits and I will fight anyone who disagrees on this.

VIGILANTES inspired by Reckless Ben to chimp out on innocent franchises.

Not sure if it's months or years considering the delay in "when shit happened" and "when we hear about it", plus if Ben's planned a 6 part series and he's only on part 2 the story is PROBABLY being told out of chronological order... But let's go with months.

:story: After MONTHS of corporate hiding behind "we aren't responsible for anything our franchisees do", they want people to hold Ben responsible for things random "vigilante inspirees" do?

Ben doesn't get to give "vigilantes he inspired" a contract, or an operations manual, or take their money, or repossess their channel, or audit their activities, or anything, and B&M wants to say he's got more authority and blame for random people than B&M does over people they have actual contracts with.

Dirty sodas are literally just caffeinated mixology for people who aren't allowed to drink actual cocktails or coffee/tea.

They are literally known for drinking Soda why do you think there are multiple drive thru franchises across Utah that only serve sodas the church explicitly has permitted soda. The LDS church has specifically said caffeine is ok just not Tea and Coffee.

The LDS website saying in 2012 that it is ok Archive

Despite what was reported, the Church revelation spelling out health practices does not mention the use of caffeine. The Church’s health guidelines prohibit alcoholic drinks, smoking or chewing of tobacco, and “hot drinks” — taught by Church leaders to refer specifically to tea and coffee. *

It makes sense they would allow caffeine in the modern world. There are actual therapeutic uses for caffeine and its derivatives in medicine. Telling people no caffeine/caffeine analogues would be actually restricting their ability to be treated medically. That would never be kosher.

Hey it was a lawtuber that wasn't Legal Mindset that came up in my algorithm after watching the Patreon CEO's video. My law knowledge is from TV melodramas, and maybe about the level of El Woods when she first got into Harvard and he explained it well. But thank you though! If he comes up again I know to do not recommend the channel.
Nah, he's fine as far as legal content goes. I am just saying I don't like him

I do not know enough about the LDS church to know if there are sects or denominations within it. One group could allow caffeine while another may forbid it? I do know that there are certain churches in the Amish faith that allow alcohol, while others forbid it.

They are America's first UFO cult. That is really all you need to know. We had a few military campaigns against them in the mid 19th century

Which culminated in the Utah War

The US Army overthrew the territorial government of Utah and arrested Brigham Young, placing the territory under military occupation. Brigham Young would be released by the Army on recognizance rather then going through the trouble of hauling his ass back to the nearest federal court house and placing him on trial for Treason against the United States. This however, was under the Buchanan Administration, the US President that allowed America to slip into civil war under his watch. So what was done in Utah two years before the civil war broke out was extreme by his standards, and Buchanan's subsequent cucking out was also par for the course.

The situation in Utah was rapidly forgotten following the outbreak of the civil war, and Washington DC turned its attention closer to home. The Mormons were also quick to ingratiate themselves with the Union cause in order to try and pave over the very near miss they had with being the first religious sect in the country to be subjected to a federal purge. Its a policy they have studiously followed since. Absolutely supine deference to the federal government, outside of Utah.

The "outside of Utah" part of that is key however. They have tried really hard to make everyone forget the mountain meadows massacre and the Utah War, but autists like me are always here to remind people when necessary. Incidentally, autists like me in the Army have also not forgotten. The 5th infantry regiment is an active component of the 11th airborne Division. Just in case. Army Autists remember, and the US Army keeps a score on enemies it still needs to kill. So the 5th Infantry Regiment will remain on active duty so long as the Mormons exist.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Defense Department slashed its religious designations list from over 200 choices to only 31 — a major reduction in the number of religious affiliations it officially recognizes.

In doing so, the department reclassified The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, listing it outside the “Christian” category.

An official memorandum from the Defense Dept. states that the action will streamline the department’s collection of religious preferences selection for service members to “enhance targeted religious support from the Chaplaincy.”

On social media, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell called the move “long overdue” and in line with “returning to the original intent of collecting this data.”

Here is the new official list of the Defense Dept.’s categorization of religious affiliation:

AN — Agnostic
BH — Baha’i faith
BU — Buddhism
AG — Christian – Assemblies of God
BA — Christian – Baptist
BR — Christian – Brethren
CA — Christian – Catholic
CC — Christian – Church of Christ
CG — Christian – Church of God
CN — Christian – Church of the Nazerene
EA — Christian – Episcopal/Anglican
EV — Christian – Evangelical
JW — Christian – Jehovah’s Witnesses
LU — Christian – Lutheran
ME — Christian – Methodist
ND — Christian – Non Denominational
OX — Christian – Orthodox
CO — Christian – Other
PE — Christian – Pentecostal
PR — Christian – Presbytarian
QU — Christian – Quaker
RE — Christian – Reformed
SC — Christian – Scientist
SA — Christian – Seventh Day Adventist
CJ — Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
HI — Hindu
IS — Islam (Muslim)
JU — Judaism (Jewish)
NR — No Religion
OR — Other Religions
SI — Sikh
Notably, the new list no longer includes atheists, Unitarian Universalists, pagans, and Wiccans, according to the Associated Press. In total, 180 religious faiths were dropped from the list.

Utahns react
Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) took to X Saturday morning, saying, “Can anyone tell me why The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was left out of the list of Christian churches?”

Senator John Curtis (R-UT) also posted on X, stating, “Latter-day Saints are among the most patriotic, service-oriented individuals in our country. They are also unequivocally Christian—just look at who is in the name of the Church. It is unacceptable for a government entity to characterize a faith in a manner that contradicts the religion’s own foundational tenets. I am working now to ensure a correction is made.”

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints told ABC4.com that they do not have a statement on the matter at this time.

More leaders from the state are expected to react to the change. Stay tuned with ABC4.com for more.

This is a developing story. ABC4 will update this post as more information becomes available.

Wait wut... :story: After LEGO scandal now Mormons got reclassified. Oh man.

Edit: update.
