Large body-on-frame vehicles like that tend to be safe for the occupants because they have a lot of mass and stiffness and use the other car as a crumple zone in a typical collision.

In this case it ran into something non-crushable, so the deceleration force on the occupants would have been considerable even if the speed of impact wasn’t very high, and the damage to the van doesn’t look too bad.

It will be totaled anyway on the basis of its age and the airbags going off.

I will say it’s very lucky they were all wearing seatbelts and that the bucket wasn’t raised up higher.

Cobes is still loved to this day. His thread is still active and still has people posting his old videos and talking about sick drink combos. I think that thread will be active for a long time.

Yeah like I said I forgot that Rekieta lived in a rural (and corrupt) shithole because I haven’f paid attention to him in like a year. I live in a collegetown and there’s cameras on all the intersections so I don’t think it’s just a bughive thing but yeah once you get out in the boonies those aren’t a thing.
