My #1 blackpill is that despite being here for 120+ years now, a good chunk of my mostly ethnic German family STILL views America as more of an economic zone and has a depressingly low level of patriotism, even now. I have some German and Dutch family like that. One of my older Dutch relatives is also unfortunately very slimy and intelligent, so he causes a lot of issues… I like aspects of German and Dutch culture but their allergy to patriotism is frustrating.
