Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

I am starting to wonder if the Kurds three off the whole strategy of this. Like imagine how different we would be looking at this if the U.S. was blocking Iran while the Kurds are attacking Iranian bases daily.
I can see OGA/Army SF placing a lot of stock in the Iranian Kurds being the key partner force to kickstart the counter-revolution and persuasively influencing the administration to make them the center of gravity.

Based on contact with them during the fight against ISIS, the Iranian Kurds were well-organized. Most importantly we had opportunities to meet with and assess their capabilities at a level that would just not be possible with most Iranians of any kind, let alone paramilitary fighters.

Did we actually have the interactions with them that Trump implied? Did they actually ghost us once we gave them weapons to distribute? Did the IRoI successfully decapitate or dismember their paramilitary organization? Or did the Kurds' political calculus suddenly change once they had to consider the reality that other ethnic groups would probably be taking control of the government and their ambitions for a Kurdish state would be blocked?

I think we're going to be waiting for answers to these questions for awhile.

I think this war highlights even further how big of a fuck up America's approach to iraq
and Saddam was

Saddam would've invaded Syria in 2012 and knock a Central Iranian ally early.

He would've continued to fund the Christian millitas in Lebanon which would've contested Hezbollah's influence.

He would certainly invade Ahvaz (the majority iraqi oil rich era in iran) and making sure the strait is open.

He'd probably do some retarded shit against Israel tho.
Everyone was gonna miss Saddam when he was gone. Bring back Saddam. He was a cool dude.

Saddam was a retard who couldn't beat "human" waves of 12 year old Persoids despite being given half the Warsaw Pact's surplus guns and ammo AND a constant stream of American satellite and other surveillance intel

Blumpf has painted himself in a corner now, he's going to have to fight. It may, likely, cost him the midterms, but thats his fuckup to own.
It might be too early to call it, but I think I speak for everyone else here that Trump unironically lost this war, none of you are admitting it but I can tell with how frustrated the atmosphere around here has become. He miscalculated and now has to deal with the consequences, he genuinely thought the Iranians were going to fold that easily as his yes-men fecklessly assured him, what a mess.

With Jews, you lose btw

yeah it kinda looks like orange man was trying to bluff his way out of the war with the whole "do what i say or i blow up everything" threat
but the ayatollahs called the bluff, and trump apparently isn't willing to actually go scorched earth on the iranian regime like he threatened, so now he's kinda cucked and doesn't know where to go from here

how we feeling miggers? at first I was worried about a humanitarian catastrophe in Iran. now I'm more worried about our (AUS's) primary ally in the Pacific being humiliated, and suffering a significant strategic defeat. This isn't good any for anyone with geopolitical concerns re: china. And you've burnt your bridges with everyone in the middle east except pissrael. You fucked up.

Beyond retarded point of view, though I'm glad you're finally showing your true colors, fencesitter. Iran got outkilled 400:1, their economy is in disaster mode, and they've been prevented from selling oil for months. The US has been... mildly inconvenienced at the gas pump I guess? Realistically this blockade could be done indefinitely on the US's part; the same can't be said for Iran's ability to endure it.

Nothing has been "lost", the frustration is due to Trump's indecision and tolerance of the status quo while being unwilling to go back to military action. Things are stuck and there is no reason for them to be, it's not frustration about 'losing' anything.

UK fuel prices up to the middle of last week, for the record.

They didn't even reach the peak of 2022, when Russia decided to commit economic suicide by invading Ukraine and sent our fuel prices sky-rocketing. Maybe they'll go up again soon, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there won't be more than brief spikes on the way back to the 2025 average. This isn't accounting for any efforts by uk.gov to fuck things up for us (which are inevitable).

What's with the massive gap between diesel and petrol?, only now it seems to have diverged

Niggas always forget money rules the world. Iran's already shitty economy is shedding jobs like Democrats wish Murica was, and their national income is cut 10% by my booze cruisin on the high seas alone. 1 dollar currently = over 1.3 million rial. There's a reason Iran said it wanted $300 billion for "rebuilding" lol. Trump litrully has to do nothing but keep the blockade going. Russia is broke and China isn't risking Trump blowing his stack by sending them billions every month, a lot of which we'd just steal I mean freeze anyway with Based Faggot (no fr he's gay yo) Shekel Lord Bessent running wild

Look at the X axis, that divergence is awkshully all since the war started

Good question. I think it could be because we import more diesel now, so the price would more sensitive. Could also be government shenanigans, or a change in what people drive altering demand patterns. Diesel isn't strongly sensitive to the electric car fad because electrics are useless in the freight industry.

Mild inconvenience at the pump. A 50% jump
In gas is mild eh? Just wait. Even with a deal made tomorrow gas is going to go up even higher shortly. And it won’t come down to the previous levels for quite some time. Measured in over a year at least.

It isn’t a little thing; Trump and the GOP campaign on this being an economic killer because it actually is.

I’ve seen threads abound when gas and food merely ticked up under Biden; but here with food and gas at unprecedented levels the statement “mild inconvenience” rings false.

Refineries here and abroad have avoided sending the futures market parabolic due to false promises from President Trump while the price of Dated Brent has caused the largest divergence in history. As those traders and refineries pour over their losses as the price comes home to roost.

The USA is mildly insulated. It will still go higher here. For other countries the push to abandon oil to avoid this sort of shit from the USA will
Push them towards other alliances.

Every industry from chip makers, suppliers and companies that eat those chips; to food, plastic, medical and gas users are living in a hell where they didnt raise their prices in expectation of a brief disruption can now only pass on the cost as reality sets in.

MAGA is living in a drug induced state if denial
