As an engineering student, I can tell you on the conspiracy theories that's 100 percent true is intentionally making things hard to repair. But that's also the problem with industrial designers who aren't engineers, who we have to listen to when designing iPhones if it was up to engineers. All things would be held together with machine screws and glue would only be used in very specific circumstances.
A good example of well engineered products that still follow the basic rules of engineers are ladders and hammers.
Actual conspiracy theory that's true is certain things are designed to take longer. Simply due to the fact that people who have this weird perception if things take. Too short that it's not being done properly.
Also over conspiracy theory that. Tech support and customer support lines aren't actually busy, they just want you to think they're always busy so you don't call them.
