I think we need a data center watch for this thread as I am seeing quite a bit of information getting flung around with counties banning them, protesting, and supposedly fighting to not have eminent domain used as a means to steal properties. A massive one getting posted up is Coweta County Georgia where one Ansley Brown is making a massive fuss, getting senators, and posting how Georgia Powers is taking her home and censoring her.

According to her, her house will be torn down August 1st.

Honestly, I have had enough with all this AI infused data center filth Just 10 years ago (maybe less) we knew nothing about any of this now everything is online, everything is data, I cant stand it. We really screwed up as a species embracing all of this so we could have "phones" to scroll online. Its awful.

Anything can be a slur, "Changing Consumer Habits" can be a slur. There's a whole table on the Internet of slurs that just means nigger but I need to find the list
Slurs don't come from words, they the hate in my heart.

I'm torn on the data/AI boom.

I don't like massive sections of land getting flattened, and the resource drain they are to run.

On the other hand, I do think they are the future, and I think a lot of the fear mongering and bubble bursting talk is Chinese propaganda. All the global warming shit was a massive psy-op by the Chinese to crush any other country from having domestic production. I'm an environmentalist of sorts, and climate hoaxing isn't about the environment. It lets all kind of damage to water and soil slide by hyperfixating on the consequences of production.

I smell the same kind of grift with the data centers, China paying countries to handicap themselves to give China the advantage.
We might hit that next week if his butt buddie Massie loses.

At the start of the admin it felt like he was sidelined while Rubio and Miller were doing most of the real work helping Trump

Id actually prefer Rubio for 2028 although I think Vance will get it. I dont see the US stopping these more direct military actions any time soon. The Christians in South Africa being persecuted, whatever dumb shit happens in Iran, and fighting the Islamic Regime of Europe. Rubio is more experienced in as a politician, and is working more directly with these countries. (Altho Vance has had his time in the spotlight more recently with the Total Pakistani Izzat Death negotiations)

I also unironically think the meme of him with every job will sway lots of normies. (Which to be fair cracks me up all the time)

Nobody has been stupid enough to try ever since Cousin Timmy smoked the Murrah building.

There's a VERY good reason why the establishment fears the right far more than the left.
The left isn’t above bombings and assassinations. Take the Weather Underground. The reason why nobody talks about them is because they got jobs in academia and normalized their rhetoric.

How about restricting them to Industrial zoning and place them in the abandoned sections of cities?

If you want to make sure you're being properly racist and not just using euphemisms you can always check the Racial slur database.
Where was this when I used to play Modern Warfare on xbox live?!?!?!
It's nice that Trump is letting Vance out more often. At the start of the admin it felt like he was sidelined while Rubio and Miller were doing most of the real work helping Trump.
Making Vance the "I just found and punished all this fraud screwing over Americans" guy is really going to make it a interesting 2028 fight between Rubio and Vance for who has the most cred.

Its kind of brilliant cause the better a job Vance does the more ammo he has to win the nomination so he is really committed to succeed.

The Amazon series The Boys is infamously a liberal fever dream, perhaps historically valuable for the insight into the Leftist worldview of this era, including some unintentional admissions.

Homelander, obviously, is their insert for Trump and America, and before season 4 the showrunner Erik Kripke even made a statement that Homelander=Trump in case you chuds didn't get it. Then after the Butler attempt they had to add a disclaimer that no political violence is meant by the show all about the protagonists plotting how to kill Homelander=Trump.

Last season, there was an episode about how Homelander, the most powerful superhero ever, couldn't be physically controlled by the scientists who created him. So they psychologically conditioned him to need love and validation, which was the only thing holding him back all these years from killing everyone because he could. I'm sure the writers intended this to be Trump's perceived vanity and ego, but to me, it also read as the fact that America just IS the only world superpower and has been for decades. The only thing that held us back from doing what was best for us was considering the feelings of other countries that openly hate us, including our supposed allies. Trump has greatly sucker punched both enemies like Venezuela and Iran, as well as NATO false allies by taking them at their word. "You scream at the top of your lungs you hate America? Fine. We won't worry about your feelings anymore. I'll give you something to cry about."

In the 5th and final season the show has become about the titular Boys trying and failing to stop Homelander from obtaining a serum that makes him both immune to the virus that was their only way to kill him, as well as halting his aging so that he will now rule forever. Intentional or not, I believe this represents a real Leftist fear Trump will live forever. Impeachments didn't get rid of him, Covid didn't, many assassination attempts didn't, even 2020 has been undone by him winning a nonconsecutive second term against all odds. Their new fantasy is Trump dying of natural causes before his term is up, and they were jerking off about a bruise on his hand hoping it was some sort of karmic punishment akin to the evil of Herod. But it wasn't. Trump really has dashed all their hopes to the point that they fear nothing will stop or kill him, and that he will somehow live and rule forever. Of course, the finale will include them finding a way to kill him anyhow and all celebrating Homelander=Trump is dead.

The most recent episode depicts Homelander declaring himself God with a propaganda video of Jesus handing him the crown of thorns saying, "Turn the other cheek doesn't work anymore, and we need results!" They claim this was written before the Trump AI Jesus nontroversy, but of course they've always called Trump a cult and "not a true Christian". Unintentionally, this highlights another Democrat fear. They were used to "turn the other cheek" hippy Christianity leading to Republican punching bags who take every hit without ever striking back, always following every curtesy and convention Democrats refuse to follow, and then losing with honor because doing what it takes to win "wouldn't be Christ like". See the ousted Indiana Republicans who wouldn't redistrict saying "vengeance isn't a Christian virtue". Leftists wanted punching bag cuck Christians forever. Then Trump was willing to fight back by sinking to a 10th of their level, for which they think him the rudest crudest president ever, and it has resonated with voters and gotten results. They really are afraid of Republicans saying "Turn the other cheek doesn't work anymore, we need results!" They certainly aren't concerned with Homelander=Trump replacing Jesus, they're afraid of their enemy hitting back.

Wait, isn't this a bid deal? Seems like it could be a big deal:

The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that federal law does not shield freight brokers from state negligence lawsuits when they hire unsafe trucking companies. I wonder if this could also apply to individuals suing?

Full Opinion here: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/24-1238_1b7d.pdf

OH MY FUCKING GOD... WHERE THE HELL WAS THIS RULING LIKE 3-4 YEARS AGO?!?!?!

I really need to avoid PLing too hard here, but you have no fucking idea just how deep the goddamn freight broker (aka truck broker) rabbit hole goes. Allow me to talk shop for a moment here:

a) Within the broader context of freight forwarding, truck brokerage, warehouse storage, and the broader import/export economy here in America, margins are thin across the board. You get an RFQ (request for quotation) for a big customer, but all your vendors are quoting an extra $0.05 per pound (~$0.11 per kilo) because the routing is a pain in the ass, you'll probably lose out on that RFQ unless your branch either eats the loss (unlikely) or try in vain to pressure your bestest of the best trucker of all time to lower their quote (far more likely). It's a game of price gouging at all levels of the supply chain, to paint with an extremely overbroad and uncharitable lens. Don't feel too bad for the truckers because they're literally charging like 50% fuel surcharges at the height of the 2022 gas crisis plus jacking up detention charge rates and narrowing the window you have to recover the freight without getting dinged.

b) Asset-based trucking companies like A. Duie Pyle, Old Dominion, and Southeast Freight Lines aren't your only option. If you're in dire need of a competitive price and your reliable, trusted vendors aren't willing to eat a loss for your RFQ, then that's where truck brokers come into the picture. They're basically middlemen between your branch and the huge swathes of owner-operators across the country. You need good rates, they'll give it to ya, but then their subcontractor is the one who's moving your shit from point A to point B. Do you see the problem here? If not, lemme spell it out: you're going through such lengths to secure an RFQ, but the only way you'll get it is by using a dodgy third party and trusting their subcontractor of the week. If you're lucky... you'll get some chainsmoking boomer who started trucking in 1983 after his wife divorced him. MORE OFTEN THAN NOT... you get subcontractors who'll be liable to not set the load bar and crack the crate's side panel, then completely cease all contact once the time comes for a cargo claim.

c) Ignoring the variable subcontractors, truck brokers are, without exaggeration or hyperbole, the most infuriating people to work with. You never use truck brokers for standard freight for your regular customers. Their "services" are often necessary because the sales rep that everyone hates overpromised with neither your team's knowledge nor consent, and now you're left holding the bag to make sure that you can find some way to save face. So basically, an entire workday's worth of productivity is sapped because now we're heckling the warehouse guys downstairs to let us take before and after photos, photocopies of the subcontractor's ID and signed copy of the delivery order, and manically refreshing the goddamn real time status tracking page that every goddamn truck broker has, and praying to Thor, Zeus, Satan, or whatever other God or God-like figure you worship or otherwise believe in that the subcontractor doesn't fuck your shit up.

d) Good luck filing cargo claims with truck brokers. It's a goddamn nightmare because you as the freight forwarder who issued the delivery order have the relationship with the truck broker, but then the truck broker is the one who intercedes for you on their subcontractor. Yeah there are blacklists and stuff like that, but they're pretty much interchangeable when you're dealing with unethical trucking companies who disappear and reappear every other year. You're never gonna get that cargo claim actioned because the truck broker's not willing to take accountability since your contract terms have that obscure clause where subcontractor is liable, and the subcontractor went completely and totally dark. Do you trust that person's ID? I'll tell you this much: phoney commercial driver's licenses do exist... and you never wanna be the one mailing cargo claims through snail mail to a phoney address that gets marked "return to sender" 3-6 weeks down the line.

I applaud this ruling so goddamn much. I just wish it happened sooner.

Unless I'm severely misinformed, the left was responsible for a lot of bombing attempts, but didn't produce many casualties outside of their own.

Isn't the WU infamous for several of them blowing themselves up whilst trying to build a bomb?

Justice Department Investigation Determines Yale’s Medical School Discriminated Based on Race in Admissions

Thursday, May 14, 2026

For Immediate Release
Office of Public Affairs

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division has completed a year-long investigation into the admissions policies and practices at the Yale School of Medicine.

Yale’s documents show that its leadership intentionally selected applicants based on their race. Yale’s documents reveal that they studied how to use racial proxies to circumvent the Supreme Court’s prohibition on using race to select students. Yale’s admissions data demonstrate that Black and Hispanic students have a much higher chance of admission to Yale than White or Asian students with the same test scores.

“Yale has continued its race-based admissions program despite the Supreme Court and the public’s clear mandate for reform.” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “This Department will continue to shed light on these illegal practices, and demand that institutions of higher education comply with federal law.”

The investigation showed that, in general, Black and Hispanic applicants were admitted with consistently lower academic qualifications than their White and Asian counterparts. These facts support the Department’s finding that Yale violated the law by intentionally discriminating based on race in its admissions, in clear violation of federal law.

Medical schools use substantial federal financial assistance to train the next generation of doctors. The Department is continuing its focus on eradicating illegal race politics from admissions at medical schools, where quality and excellence are vitally important to public safety.

Kars4Kids got in trouble in California for deceptive advertising (given they exclusively 'help' orthodox Jewish kids in New York and New Jersey) and thus been banned from advertising there.

That is unless they want to start expressly stating in their ads how this is solely for those New York and New Jersey Orthodox Jewish kids, which they're unlikely to ever do given how few people would feel like donating then.
