I've stalled out halfway through but I intend to finish it. I read Dune long ago and in anticipation of Villanueva abysmal third movie I decided to revisit Dune and first reading of the next few. Dune did such an amazing job of world building and the assumed potential of the ending was amazing, and everything after just feels blander and takes away from the first book. God Emperor with all it's potential feels like 3500 years of wheel spinning for the time to be right for something.

Eh, I think Trump is actually pretty weak on 2nd amendment issues. It's where his New Yorker heritage shows the strongest. I think he just knows it's a losing issue both legally and in the court of public opinion so he doesn't bother.
