What makes you personally mad about AI or something you find frustrating?

I hate how much slop people can flood the net with. I do not want to see the 234th image of your AI waifu in beautiful anime rendering big tits you posted this week.

I've been wondering what downsides it brings to other areas. Please let me know.

its fucking retarded
i remember i was like 10 minutes till the end of my shift and i was ready to go home until i got one last task for today is to calculate the surface of the metal beam so we would know how much paint we need to buy for it. I figured instead of looking it up and calculating the perimeter and then multiplying by the length myself i just use AI. theres no way it can fuck up something as easy as that, right?
i gave him the number and the mark of the beam and gave him the length, and this fucker gave me the wrong fucking result. and after i said it to him he gave me the "You absolutely right i did use wrong mark of the thing" and gave me wrong answer again

Companies are using AI on everything they can get away with, I've personally seen the HR and EHS departments in my company use it for announcements and various presentations and it just looks fucking terrible.
I was indifferent towards AI, but it has invaded every aspect of regular life and it makes me mad.

Why ask AI for the wrong answers when you can ask a retard coworker and laugh at them?

ai written bug reports, and field escalations are fucking annoying.

the problem is the context of "who complained, why is this a problem, what have they tried" is entirely absent but the report has a lot of text so it looks complete but you end up having to interrogate the people who entered it anyway

i also hate walking through the mall and half the posters and logos have the obvious chatgpt house cartoon style.

chatgpt is enabling the lazy and the talentless to express themselves. smart people using AI can create cool things in a much shorter period of time but there are unfortunately a lot more lazy and talentless people in the world than smart people.

AI will be this generation's Wikipedia. Many people will take its word as gospel despite it being susceptible to leading questions or group think (20+ sites are all saying the same thing so it must be true!)

I'm guilty of using my search engine's AI summary from time to time, though I try to verify the information.

When it comes to generators:
It destroys human creativity, people don't want to learn anything because some AI can sort of kind of but not really make what you want, it's like 20% what you want but you don't feel like spending 2 years learning how to do 100% what you want so you settle for the 20%.
I think a lot of potentially brilliant creatives will never make anything because they won't be motivated to do so and we will lose a ton of brilliant innovative things that could but won't be made.
We will lose geniuses because they will become lazy and, instead of making things themselves and innovating, they will just input prompts to get generic mediocre results.

When it comes to search engines:
A lot of the results are just bullshit, they're not true. I'm sure most people know about AI hallucinations and they are a serious problem when a lot of people rely on ChatGPT or whatever to look up information and do research for them.
These things most of the time just give you the most frequent answer to a question and if the most frequent answer is wrong (which is the case a lot of the times), you will never learn the truth.
Also, it's really easy to program this stuff to give biased answers that push a particular worldview and most people won't notice because they never do research.

When it comes to the parasocial aspect:
Over the next 20 years, lonely weirdos will multiply in numbers because it's easier to talk to a bot that affirms your delusions and never challenges you.
A lot of people already don't feel like making friends, AI will make it even easier to be antisocial.

When I watched Idiocracy, it never made sense to me because who the fuck does all the work? Who makes the things for the dumbasses?
AI solves this issue.
Now, we can actually move on a path towards that kind of dystopia where everyone is a lazy moron and AI will make their lives comfortable enough.
Once we get the kind of VR that we always see in sci fi movies or even a holodeck tech from Star Trek, we are doomed as a species.

We can only hope for a Butlerian Jihad in the future but that will come too late for us.
It might save our grandchildren's generation.

Ai has become just another buzz word. Much like how the term "blockchain" was used by every company after cryptocurrency became rather popular.

I mean this shit isn't even real ai most of the time, it's just the old shit dolled up a bit. Now instead of calling it an automated phone service, it's called an ai answering service and it's the same exact fucking thing.

Also FUCK COPILOT AND FUCK MICROSOFT
THE RETARDED INDIANS SHAT OUT WINDOWS 11, THE ABSOLUTE WORST OPERATING SYSTEM FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH BLOAT WARE AND FUCKING USELESS AI "FEATURES"
YOU HAVE MADE MY WORK SO MUCH WORSE AND I HOPE YOU FAGGOTS GO TO THE DEEPEST LEVELS OF HELL AND STAY THERE FOR ALL ETERNITY

I'm sick of Co-Pilot asking me if I want an email summarized that's just a single paragraph, or better, when it's just a file it can't even look into so it summarizes that it's an excel sheet and how I can open it up. It's the ultimate tool for parasite corporate departments (e.g. HR) where every little thing is done with AI. I've seen work flyers and emails that look like an abortion, I'm sure no one even looked at what the fuck they generated before hitting send. It was already annoying sifting through the internet looking for things, but now it's miserable. Search engines aren't even pushing the obvious shit to the top anymore and the photo sections are 90% AI generated images. A large portion of AI users seem to only use it in a desperate attempt to simplify any obstacles in their life or use it to trick/scam others. Forums are the only safe haven for unfiltered discussions where I don't feel a quarter of the comments are bots.

It is literally just a statistical engine applied to the written word (for LLMS, others are using pure quantitative data and doing statistical guesswork on that.). Yes, technially, you tokenize letters, words, sentences, paragraphs all the way up and apply layers of ML algorithms to process the resulting data so you can do gradient descent calculations that produce a mathematical simulacrum of qualitative reasoning. That is still just a computer program applying statistical mechanics to words. This results in a word salad generator that has been trained like a clapping seal to make flavors of word salad that we like.

Thus we come to my problem with AI: buck-toothed cockeyed shitlicking mouthbreathers divulging the fact that they have the cognitive capacity of a fucking goldfish by acting like we have achieved In-Silico Jesus. No, we haven't. We have effectively automated small, very well bounded and well defined qualitative tasks that probably should not have been jobs in the first place. And fuck no, you are not injecting me with whatever biopharmaceutical nightmare you pulled out of that word salad, thank you.

Art of any kind made by AI is an abomination. When you use AI to create you are refusing to use your God given abilities to achieve instant gratification. You're bypassing years of trial and error while simultaneously spitting on the heads of the giants whose shoulders you stand on. Instead of admiring the old works, learning from them, imitating them, you have an AI pretend to. You're also choosing a robot over someone who could create x thing for you (not that I think the retards on Twitter who whine about it are entitled to being paid for art).
Tolkien referred to manmade art as the subcreation, God made man in His image, created everything you can touch or experience, and we take that and make it into something else, a lower version of that. Artistic expression is a way for us to better understand God because in the act of creating we are imitating our creator and to use AI is to squash that entirely.
Also I want my em-dashes back you lazy bastards. I loved the em-dash and I can't use it without being accused of using AI (which I abhor)

AI can be an useful tool but it also has severe limitations and 99% of people treat it like a 'fix all' magical genie when it's basically a glorified autocompleter script.

Long term, I believe that like smartphones, AI is gonna really bring down average intelligence of people. We already have first signs of it with retards like SmashJT outsource all their thinking to ChatGPT and not even bother to check if the answer they got is truthful.
