It's also the same issue Kamala Harris ran into during 2024; she leaned too hard into getting support from gen z and then smugly assumed that she had 90% of their vote when she didn't get anywhere near that due to a lack of appeal towards men. Her entire autistic campaign was centered around women, faggots, and trannies.

Kamala was never appealing to Gen Z. Her entire campaign fell apart as it was attached to Biden and neither could give a clear answer on Palestine since they didn’t want to offend either the anti-Israel protestors or the Israel money well they had. This also comes after Biden screwing the Bernie/AOC class by giving them absolutely nothing and Kamala being unable to match Progressive politics. If we are talking Gen Z, the only shit Kamala did was use terms like Brat, it was all stupid marketing stunts with no substance while she upheld Boomer favoring politics.

Her audience, by-and-large, were the usual Obama Boomers who didn’t want to leave the status quo because Bernie is too radical and Trump is Hitler, it said so on tv.

The Dems really have nothing. Newsome is universally loathed outside of California. I don’t know anyone, on either side that likes him. AOC would be a gift to the Republicans.

Newsome appeals to Obama Boomers who don’t know of his California history (live out of state), only knowing him based on him being the guy to bring back sensible politics and take down Trump according to the news. He will do well with olds still clinging to 08, but will be loathed by Millenial and Zoomer Dems looking for a non-Boomer dick-riding Dem.
It cannot be understated how much of the Dems’ issues are generational. Their politics unavoidably screw over either young or old voters since they won’t get rid of money sinks like Illegals. If you choose Newsome, the youth are getting the belt to prop up social security/medicaid while Boomers remove all jobs for cheap labor. If you pick AOC, she guns after Boomers/X to extract all their wealth for his social services like free college. It is a no win scenario for party unification, even leaving out the obvious Jew sized elephant in the room of Israel/Palestine being a nonnegotiable must fully support one side or the other.

Sidenote, Mamdani is claiming to have removed the $12 billion budget deficit but I haven't seen a comprehensive list of what exactly was done to remove that deficit. Does anybody have it?

Ok so it I did get some rough numbers:

• 4 billion is coming from Albany since they can't make up anymore money (lmao)
• The deficit wasn't actually as bad as they thought after doing some recalculations (it's lower than initially projected by several billions of dollars)
• They're delaying some payments on pensions or something (literally just kicking the can down the road )
• An extra 2 billion is coming from some new taxes and changes relating to tax exemptions

So Mamdani basically did fucking nothing but fearmonger, blame Eric Adams, and overestimate the deficit so he can then act like he just saved the city from a financial crisis on par with 1975. This isn't the behavior of a professional, it's the behavior of a grifter who knows that the median voter will endlessly fall for this bullshit.

I like the believe "the deficit" was how much it would cost to run all his pet projects like free transportation. So he started with those projects, "removed them" from the budget as though they were actually there, and is now working with the regular budget the city has had.

Met him and his wife a few years back, and Rhonda really was a wonderful person, smart, witty and just the best type of person. It sucks because it sure seems like he has turned into trash and I hope his wife haunts his dreams.
