We've all seen that tons of tv shows and movies have a bone to pick with Christianity, but I seem to see very little similar critique or debasement of other religions in western media. It might be a cultural thing, or it could be TPTB, but I am less interested in the 'why' and more about examples of this kind of criticism towards other religions and reactions and views to those examples. I am probably just missing this stuff since its so easy to stay in my own Western bubble. Is there prominent examples in other parts of the world?

Satanic Verses famously got the author a fatwa issued against him by the Ayatollah of Iran.

Context of this short text is a Confucian scholar complaining to the emperor about the veneration ceremony of a Buddha relic. I find it particularly amusing that even in 819 AD China there were chuds complaining about foreign religions having incompatible values and being shunned out of society for it (he was literally banished for being religiously insensitive).
Here are a couple gems:
When Kao Tsu obtained the Empire he contemplated the extermination of this religion; but the officials of that day were men of limited capabilities; they did not understand the way of our rulers of old; they did not understand the exigencies of the past and present; they did not understand how to avail themselves of His Majesty’s wisdom, and root out this evil. Therefore, the execution of this design was delayed, to your servant’s infinite sorrow.
Still the people are slow of perception and easily beguiled; and should they behold Your Majesty thus earnestly worshipping at the feet of Buddha they would cry out, “See! the Son of Heaven, the All-Wise, is a fervent believer; who are we, his people, that we should spare our bodies?”
For Buddha was a barbarian. His language was not the language of China; his clothes were of an alien cut. He did not utter the maxims of our ancient rulers, nor conform to the customs which they have handed down. He did not appreciate the bond between prince and minister, the tie between father and son.

Notice most of the non-Christian examples were against Muslims, but primarily around the 2000s? I.E. the only time kike media isn't denigrating Christians - is when they are trying to galvanize hatred against Israel's enemies during the beginning years of the Wars for Jewish Expansion ""War on Terrorism"".

What an interesting concept that... Never forget, ALL media is propaganda.

Reminds me of this quote.

If you really want to reach; techincally speaking The Handmaid's Tale isn't actually about Christianity, but Islam. The author lady whatever the fuck her name is basically just took the Taliban and translated them to America.

Also Journey To The West is basically an extended treatise on how Buddhism is superior to the other East Asian faiths in every way.

It's nearly non-existent. The Gospel is inconvenient to irresponsible hedonists and morally bankrupt crooks, and that's why it is so hated.

I miss those days, when we weren't trying to appease the goatfuckers.

Say what you want about the small-hats. No amount of hating them will make the head-chopping sand savages your buddies. Muzzrats hate you and all other infidels more than they love their own children.

There will not be even a sliver of hope for peace in the world until the last mosque is rubble and the last Quran is a pile of ashes.

What does it have to say about Taoism?

My background in Taoism is very very weak but the little bits I've come across make it sounds a lot better than Buddhism, or as I like to call it "boohoo-life-is-suffering-I-m-a-whiny-faggot"-ism

Eh, it's more like "wow my retarded countrymen can't let go of their pointless grudges and status symbols; they really need to learn to chill"-ism.

One of the villains is a hundred-eyed centipede demon disguised as a taoist. That's probably symbolic of something.

The Bible it goes without saying is the most analyzed book in history from all different sorts of angles. And frankly it is still underanalyzed. Theres still different angles of that are relatively unexplored despite how many people have worked it over.

Outside of Christianity, Islam and Scientology probably have the most critical analysis though the vast majority of it is in the form of social media and its about the depth of a puddle compared to the libraries on Christianity.

A true relatively untouched field is critical analysis or really analysis of any kind of the Dharmic religions which is practically nonexistent in the West. Someone or an entire industry could make a good living out of just lightweight systematic exploration for Western audiences of some of these nearly unexplored canons which are absolutely massive compared to those of Christianity.

Nothing crazy, but The Merchant of Venice could be anti-semitic depending on how you look at it, and though it involves christianity, both Midsommar and The Wicker Man are subtle critiques against neo-paganism and christianity, again, depending on how you look at it.

The Master had to take out any upfront references to scientology to prevent them from getting sued, but it's obviously an attack on it, so it's just another movie if you don't know the origin story. It's rumored that scientology killed Phillip Seymour Hoffman because he played the L. Ron Hubbard character.
