Someone found out he was a teacher in Torrance, California and looks awfully like him. For context, photo on the left came from the video @obsdj posted (from factbasefeed). The right is a photo of a "teacher of the month".

Some more information has came out about the shooter. Cole Allen Tomas (born 04/11/1995, age 31) has a LinkedIn account. The shooter is a caltech and CSU alumuni with several years of experience as a mechanical engineer, majoring in Computer Science. His LinkedIn reads that he is a "game dev, engineer, scientist, [and a] teacher"
