It has nothing to do with any Code of Ethics. It's the Federal Laws Governing the Prescription and Distribution of Controlled Narcotics. At a minimum what he did violates Dr Steves DEA credentials and privileges. Which are completely separate from his Medical License. What he did could and would also violate his Medical License.The primary issue being the incredibly shady way he gave out on oxy script in Vegas? I am not a medical professional so I can only grasp at how fucked this situation is for someone that has to sign on to a code of ethics.
The DEA is normally a bit flexible with regard to Paliative Care Practioners. But the patients need to be Terminal. Being Terminally Stupid does not count.
