We're here again, Kiwis.

The usual suspects will hand-wring over how awesome it is, it will be a gigantic fucking failure, they'll blame everyone but themselves for it, and the rest of the Internet will continue to refuse to give a shit.

Be ready to reap the salt because nobody learned a fucking thing from the last time.

I wish this would have happened while SuperWhoLock was still a big internet thing.

I'm just here to watch the world burn, and if Doctor Who is the kindling, so much the better.

Anyone else thinking about Community's 'Inspector Minerva' thing at the mo by the way?
She could have a similar catchphrase.

It's simultaneously hilarious and unsettling how the people euphoric over the new doctor being a woman don't seem to grasp the fact that the shitpost comments people are making aren't serious at all.
I forgot to post this wonderful excerpt from a comment section on one of the videos about the new doctor I saw earlier.

This isn't the only instance of something like this happening but it's the first one I saw. I'm still not completely sure if the person replying is shitposting as well in this instance. Poe's law is a fucking bitch.

Something tells me female Doctor is going to go the way of female Thor.

Let's be honest, Doctor Who has always had a, let's say "mixed" quality to its episodes. Even the best serials from the Classic Era has lots of wtf writing moments to it. The problem is that New Who seems to have a lot less "good" episodes as its progressed. The fact that people are actually nostalgic for Russel T Davis is astounding to me, since nearly every Who fan I knew hated him by the end of his run. Hell, I remember people being excited for Moffett when his run started, and now is seems most fans hate him. The new guy will probably be loved for his first two or three episodes, until the shit one gets aired.

On a related note, the best way they could handle the regeneration would be having the first thing Thirteen do is mention some random feature that got altered like Ten's "New teeth, that's weird." line then going straight into whatever Twelve was talking about before regenerating.

This show is mostly known by the public as the show that caused their kids to get scared. IIRC the part of a museum that talks about Doctor Who just has a couch and a TV in front of it because kids would hide behind the couch if there was a scary scene.

So to normies this is like freaking out over something like Goosebumps (Kid horror show).

So, with this it's finally revealed, either intentionally or not, that The Doctor doesn't really have a standard concept of gender.

What do you want to bet they're going to be super fucking serious and all in about feminine topics and issues all of the sudden?
