It was also going maybe 400 miles per hour slower, was an order of magnitude slower, and wasn't filled with jet fuel.

It was a B-25 Mitchell that was low on fuel and flying at 200mph. The plane didnt hit any structural steel and only took out some walls. The planes that hit the twin towers were larger, flying faster and had more fuel in them.

Las Vegas is going the Disney route and increasing pricing to collect as much out of whales as possible. They are also getting stingy with freebies, and trying their damnedest to find anything broken in a room so they can charge more.

It is pretty clear they don’t see the party/gambling culture of the city lasting that much longer. Las Vegas is a Boomer hub, their audience are old geriatrics looking to blow through cash, so they are playing their cards accordingly. The young aren’t going because they both lack money to gamble and have way easier means of gambling via apps like Draft Kings. There is no place for a Las Vegas in modern America, at best, they could have pivoted hard on entertainment, but that wouldn’t drive money like scamming Boomers. The city will predictably fall to ruin once the Booms are gone, ending as yet another ghost town that comes as a result of the day of the pillow.

Eh not much, tourism is still big and 50,000,000 trips were made between LA and Las Vegas on the I-15 in 2025 so a 2 hour intercity service wouldn't perform badly. Minimum in my opinion would be 5 million riders annually unless they actually stick to the $400 ticket price which I don't think is likely. $150-250 is more likely and if the prices adjust for stuff like peak and off peak times then it'll be fine. Also I think there is a commuter rail connection in Rancho Cucamonga but that station might be a bit to the south of the Brightline one.
Can private rail companies have their tickets subsidized?

Israel is currently facing a demographic problem with the ultra orthodox being a bunch of welfare bums that don't work or serve in the military, just studying in their religious schools all day.
