The direct quote from El Orangeo that people are twisting into origami doves was "I can go long and take over the whole thing, or end it in two or three days and tell the Iranians;"See you again in a few years if you start rebuilding"" (related to the nuclear program) which was before the operation even started.

He's saying he could've "ended" it in 2 days and just kicked the can down the road and solved basically nothing, or he could do what they actually picked and try to solve the Iran problem completely via an extended campaign. If you read it as "TRUMP SAID IT WOULD ONLY TAKE 2-3 DAYS!" you're either illiterate or retarded.

The timeline estimate for this operation was always 4-6 weeks from day one, the only time "2-3 days" was mentioned was in a single 5-minute interview Trump gave where he was speaking about a hypothetical option he didn't choose.
