Yes and this election cycle has proven this time and time again. The right's complete inability to succeed at anything and the left's ability to always win no matter what is baked into the very nature of those who subscribe to either ideology.
The left is cold and calculated, ideologically unified, heavily organized, both extremely decentralized so they can't easily be dismantled yet so in-line that they can work in perfect unison. They will take every possibility they can to gain power. They never let a tragedy go to waste, and if there is no tragedy to gain influence from, they'll make their own. They only settle for perfection and will tear everything down that does not fit into their worldview. They are extremely subversive, capable of infiltrating any organization and turning it into another progpaganda outlet for there own goals. Meanwhile they are capable of rooting out anyone who steps out of line instantly and keeping everyone else in check. They have control of every institution, every Western government, every corporation, every elite figure and every billionaire save for a very select few.
Meanwhile on the right you have a bunch of rejects with no coherent beliefs other than that they don't like the left. They have no social cohesion because their entire movement exists of losers who are upset with the leftist society and leftists who got kicked out for not falling in line. As such, they are completely incoherent and constantly infighting, yet at the same time, because they cannot plan and structure things like leftists can, they put all their hope in some large central figure like Donald Trump, making the whole movement very fragile as it all depends on one guy. They do nothing but complain to that one figure while doing absolutely nothing to work together and solve the problems themselves. They have infinite tolerance and can be pushed around, taxed to death, raped, murdered, replaced out of existence, and the most they will ever do is complain. They are completely allergic to power, always stepping down when things don't go their way rather than working within them to promote their own goals like the leftists do. They are perfectly fine with allying woth their enemies and seding ground to them in an attempt to look "fair" and "reasonable", because they care more about looking nice than winning.
If you tried to genetically engineer the two most competent and incompetent people imaginable, you'd get a leftist and a conservative respectively. Leftists are capable of being the most vile, evil, dysgenic people known to man and push the most insane, antihuman beliefs imaginable and are still capable of ruling the world with an iron fist, indefinitely, with 0 chance of reprisal. They are able to beat people to death in broad daylight, murder national figures and brag about it, and commit crimes and record them without punishment and without losing even a sliver of their grasp on power, because the leftist mind is perfectly suited towards achieving and sustaining power, while the conservative mind is built to be worthless human cattle. All of modern history since the left/right paradigm has been a thing has proven this to be true. I cannot think of a single instance in history where the right won against the left, ever.
