so some retroactive terrible new, anyone remember this EO?
How to say you don't understand how the lumber industry works without saying you don't know how the lumber industry works. Tonight alone, we are two for two on you being a retarded faggot who doesn't understand something but drops your retarded and uninformed takes in the thread like a Jeet shitting in the middle of a supermarket.
Also unprivate your profile, coward.

The lumber industry practices sustainability, they don't actually just clear cut all the trees, they basically rotate areas like farmer's fields, replanting areas as they go. Because cutting down all the trees would be bad for the industry. We're not fucking Ching Chongs.
You also need to cut trees in forests so new growth can happen. Otherwise you get fires where nature does it for you

He assassinated their President in a sneak attack. What would we do?
Khamenei hasn't been the president of Iran since 1989. He was the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and ordered the murder of thousands of his own people in the streets because they wanted water.

If we traded places and weren't insane muslim jihadists we would at least understand where the other guys are coming from instead of lionizing the dead democide-enjoyer.

Yeah, and rotations can be decades long. most around my neck of the woods last 80 years before cuttings. AND not every tree on a lease is cut. smaller trees might not be cut, and the area is usually replanted/reclaimed afterwards.
IDK what to tell you if you think 80 years is old growth

The logging industry had to have its arm twisted in the early 20th century to stop clear-cutting America. The scraggly little trees you see all over the eastern part of America aren't how it was when the settlers showed up; they record immense trees everywhere. The mountains around New Hampshire were almost completely denuded by about 1900.

White oaks could get as big as sequoias, but it took over 1000 years to get there.

Yeah that is true. however the modern lumber industry is thankfully not like that anymore. also we won't be clearcutting shit like @StudMccool is implying. and many of the forests that are highlighted have been mismanaged to the point of complete overgrowth and overcrowding of trees resulting in disasters like the fires of the last few years in California or the Wollow fire of Arizona in 2011. Frankly I'd say we over-corrected from the clear cutting of our forests to the point of preventing natural fires from culling the undergrowth and weaker saplings.

A perfect example that I'm actually familiar with would be the Pondersoa forests of Central and Northern Arizona. The primordial forests of this region that are untouched by logging and wildfire suppression had an average of 50-150 trees pee acre of land, and would look something like this.

However, thanks to the VERY strict fire suppression and anti-logging policies that have been in place since the 1920s, the Ponderosa forests are SEVERELY overcrowded. with tree density approaching close to 1000 or more trees per acre alongside thick, and uncontrolled undergrowth. this is a photo from Camp Geronimo I got around six years ago showing just how overcrowded these forests are. don't mind the elk either

Also as a bonus, here's the result of anti-lumber policies and fire suppression from the air, this is a single stand of ponderosa that has been blighted due to the decreased genetic diversity of trees per acre.

As you know, though, it’s a friggin’ riot to drive if you don’t suck at shifting.
Felt like driving a 5speed gokart every day and cornered like it was on rails once I redid the suspension and put some good tires on her. That 45mph sign on the freeway ramp was really only a suggestion anyways! I did more dumb shit in that car than any other I've owned. Cast iron bitch to work on, though (fuck you CV joints!). I'm a corn fed American, not some little nip.

Partly is was youthful indiscretion, partly it was because that was a just great car to try to do such youthful indiscretions in. Most fun 4banger I've ever driven. I even have a bit of a soft spot for the del Sol (ex had one), despite them killing the CRX line for it, since it was basically just a CRX with a removable hardtop anyways.

I've been thinking about getting another, and I keep my eye out and ears open, but I haven't found one at a price I'm willing to pay for the condition the car is in. I really don't want some faggot ricers old car.

DHS could vanish tomorrow and I'd dance a happy jig. Take the TSA with it. They were born from the PATRIOT Act (which also needs to go), and are purely trash, make-work institutions. Just because DHS occasionally does good things doesn't make it "not horrible." It could be replaced with a much smaller, more tightly-run department whose focus is solely facilitating coordination between the other existing security apparatus of the US and do a better job. ICE should be its own department, or part of BPE (which itself should be separate from DHS), which actually does its job when released from its leash by a competent executive.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too fussed if DHS disappeared either. It's just one more useless security faction when we've already got the FBI and CIA (Who are both equally as useless), who could actually do the job better than DHS if they were led by the right people. It's finding the right people for this particular job that's the real pain in the ass.

The reason they want to abolish the entire DHS, aside from ICE, is that it also gets rid of CBP and HSI, the DHS's own FBI which has ballooned in size since Trump took power as his own FBI untouched by entrenched swamp loyalists.

Nothing stopping him from busting up DHS, deleting TSA, merging CBP/ICE, and making HSI its own separate thing alongside the FBI (which would piss them off even harder). I'm sure there's lots of useless overhead within DHS that wouldn't be needed within the other orgs once it's gone.

I refuse to take anything you say seriously while you have your profile privated.

you do realize trees grow back, and not all of that land will be cut at the same time. That is probably many dozens of dozens millions of logging leases.
Pearls before swine there. Logging out timber ends up being pretty good for the environment. Periodic harvesting let's new trees grow, helps wildlife flourish and does help with fires and stuff.

If they do it on a good schedule, it's like pruning a tree, but it's a forest of trees. I get why folks would think it's bad to clear it out, but they don't do clear cutting anymore, it's pretty tightly managed.
nigger is cutting down our giants for God knows why

You wade into a conversation with some of the most surface level understanding and you try to get uppity with people that actually know what they are talking about. Then your flighty ass is posting about something else entirely. If you want to actually learn about the stuff you are dooming about, slow down and listen to folks ffs. You have some of the worst discernment i've ever seen in my life when it comes to sources as well.

Trees are a renewable resource, the giant trees you are talking about are in protected areas, look up the top 10 "redwoods" they are safe, no chance of them getting cut. What that EO was about was upping timber production so we don't rely on other countries. It was not targeting any national parks, it was upping production, getting rid of some red tape and rolling back some dumb shit Clinton did. You could find this out with a google search and 10 minutes of reading.
